Abstract

The invention relates to a coating composition in the form of a non-aqueous transparent dispersion, comprising a reactive diluent, polyurethane (meth)acrylate particles, which can be obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate with a polyol and a nucleophilically functionalized (meth)acrylic acid ester in the reactive diluent in order to form polyurethane (meth)acrylate particles having a mean diameter of less than 40 nm, and an initiator. Corresponding coating compositions are distinguished by especially favorable properties in particular with regard to the adhesive strength, hardness, and microscratch resistance of said coating compositions after the curing of said coating compositions and therefore are superior to conventionally available coating product without nanoparticulate polyurethane (meth)acrylate particles in many cases.

Abstract

The invention relates to a high-frequency lamp in which high-frequency energy is coupled into a lamp body. Corresponding high-frequency lamps are known from the prior art. The plasma generated by known high-frequency lamps is comparatively unstable, however. Furthermore, the ionization chamber partly accumulates a comparatively high degree of dirt. The aim of the invention is to reduce this problem. This is achieved in that an antenna wire element (13, 14) for coupling in the high-frequency energy is arranged at least partly within a wall of the lamp body (11) without passing through said wall.

Abstract

The invention relates to an HF lamp. Such HF lamps comprise a lamp body (10), an HF control electrode (17) for feeding in HF energy, and an oscillator for generating the HF energy. However, known HF lamps can be brought to uniform temperatures only with difficulty and therefore do not have an optimal efficiency. Thus, the problem addressed by the invention is that of proposing an HF lamp that has an improved efficiency. The problem is substantially solved in that a dielectric waveguide (12) is provided, which extends over large regions, i.e. at least a third of the maximum diameter of the lamp body, within the lamp body (10).

Abstract

The invention relates to polymerizates that can be obtained by a) reacting at least one polyisocyanate with at least one polyol and optionally at least one radically curable monomer A with groups reactive toward isocyanate in at least one radically curable monomer B to form polyurethane particles having an average diameter of less than 40 nm, preferably less than 20 nm, and especially preferably less than 10 nm and an average number of radically curable functionalities in a range of 2 to 4, preferably 2 to 3, and b) emulsion polymerizing the product obtained under a). By means of the emulsion polymerization, larger cross-linked polyurethane/polymer hybrid dispersions are produced, in which the nanoparticles act as a connecting member between the polymer areas and the polyurethane components. This structure results in improved chemical resistance and significantly improved mechanical properties in comparison with traditional polyurethane dispersions, in which polyurethane nanoparticles are subsequently dispersed in polyacrylates, for example by means of an acetone method. Furthermore, the content of polyurethane in the polymer can be better controlled by means of this production method. The invention further relates to a method for producing such polymerizates and the use of such polymerizates as adhesives or coatings, in particular for textiles, or as paints, or for films and foils.

Abstract

The invention relates to a high-frequency lamp with a glass bulb and a device for supplying a high-frequency signal. High-frequency lamps known in the prior art either have been limited to a narrow selection of substances in the glass bulb or have relied on a heating process using a spiral-wound filament or the like. The aim of the invention is to provide an inexpensive and more efficient high-frequency lamp. This is to be achieved in particular in that the glass bulb is made, for example from window glass, so as to be heatable by the heat losses of the high-frequency signal in the glass bulb such that even metal halogenides for example can be evaporated without an additional heating process.

Abstract

The invention relates to a non-aqueous dispersion of organic polymer particles in a reactive diluent. Said non-aqueous dispersion can be obtained in that at least one monomer is polymerized in the reactive diluent, forming the organic polymer particles, wherein the reactive diluent does not participate in said polymerization due to the orthogonal reactivity thereof relative to the monomers, but comprises a functionality allowing later targeted polymerization. Depending on the organic polymer particles or reactive diluents used, the non-aqueous dispersion can be used in multifaceted applications having a wide range of application profiles. In order to produce said non-aqueous dispersion, polymerization of at least one monomer in a stirred tank reactor in the presence of a reactive diluent is particularly suitable, wherein the conversion is performed at a stirring speed of at least 2 m/s, wherein the ratio of the stirrer diameter to the vessel diameter is set to 0.3 – 0.80 and the distance from the stirrer to the vessel floor is set to 0.25 to 0.5 times the stirrer diameter. The invention provides multifaceted advantageous applications, particularly as an impact strength modifier, particularly in films, and as an adhesive, as casting resin, or as paint. A particularly advantageous application is producing a molded part or a semi-finished polymer product.

Abstract

A solar cell comprises a substrate made of a textile surface structure. The textile surface structure is made of transparent glass fiber threads and electrically conducting but non-transparent carbon fiber threads. The glass fiber threads serve as spacers and fillers for the carbon fiber threads so that closed interstices of sufficient transparency result between the carbon fiber threads, whereby the light can pass through the substrate. On both sides of the so formed substrate are semiconductor layers forming a blocking layer therebetween. One electrode is formed by the carbon fiber threads of the substrate.
