Abstract

The wiper arm assembly includes: an arm head having a support shaft; a retainer including combined with the arm head; and a rotation-preventing unit restricting rotation of the retainer so that the retainer is not rotated past the predetermined angle when the retainer is rotated around the support shaft due to an external force. The retainer includes an accommodation hole having an opened portion so that the support shaft can be attached to or detached from the retainer through the opened portion in a predetermined position, and the support shaft has a first position in which the support shaft cannot be separated from the accommodation hole and a second position in which the support shaft can be separated from the accommodation hole, while the support shaft is rotated within the rotation angle, due to a different cross-sections of the support shaft perpendicular to its lengthwise direction.

Abstract

The wiper arm assembly includes: a blade wiping a glass; a retainer connected to the blade and pressing the blade against the glass; an arm head connected to the retainer; a central hole formed in a center of the blade; a support shaft disposed in the central hole to be perpendicular to a lengthwise direction of the blade; a combination hole which is formed in the retainer and through which the support shaft is rotatably accommodated; and a vibration-preventing unit preventing the blade from freely moving in a widthwise direction of the blade relative to the retainer due to a frictional force between the blade and the glass of the vehicle while the blade rotates forwards and backwards together with the retainer or a rotation-restricting unit restricting rotation of the blade while the blade rotates around the support shaft relative to the retainer by an external force.

Abstract

Provided is a wiper driving apparatus for an automobile. The wiper driving apparatus includes: a housing; a driving motor; a worm wheel installed in the housing to be rotated by the driving motor, connected to a wiper arm, and having protrusions formed on a surface thereof; and a clutch member eccentric with respect to the center of the worm wheel to be rotatably installed in the housing such that power supply to the driving motor is selectively turned on or off according to the position of the rotating clutch member relative to the housing, wherein the clutch member has an engagement unit which is caught by the protrusions of the worm wheel when the worm wheel is rotated in a first direction, and is not caught by the protrusions of the worm wheel when the worm wheel is rotated in a second direction. Accordingly, the wiper driving apparatus enables the clutch member to be disposed within the radius of rotation of protrusions without deviating from its normal track although the protrusions are rotated in a reverse direction.
