An automated control device for monitoring the position angle of an absorption type cooling system or refrigerator that circulates a refrigerant, an absorbent, and a diffusion agent within a conduit system includes a housing, a controller with a processor within the housing, a sensor in communication with the controller for measuring the angle of inclination of the refrigerator, and a stress counter connected to the controller for counting increments of stress induced into the cooling system. The tilt monitoring control method prevents system stress, which in turn prevents personal and property damage due to hydrogen gas leaks, fires and explosions.
A refrigerator provides a diffusion-absorption refrigeration assembly that uses helium as a diffusion gas. The refrigeration assembly includes a condenser, an evaporator, a liquid ammonia tube, and a gas heat exchanger. The liquid ammonia tube includes a first vertical section with an inlet and a second vertical section downstream of the first. The second vertical section of the liquid ammonia tube being noncontiguous with said heat exchanger, wherein no heat is exchanged between flowable fluids flowing in said second vertical section and in said heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes inner and outer tubes. The inner tube has an outer surface, and the outer tube has an inner surface. The outer and inner surfaces each has serrations to produce an increase in surface area of the corresponding surface. The refrigerator has a freezer box defining a first cubic area and a refrigerator box defining a second cubic area. The sum of the first and second cubic areas is equal to or greater than six cubic feet. The assembly is capable of cooling the refrigerator box to a temperature of 6°C (43 °F) and the freezer compartment to a temperature of -9°C (15°F) when the ambient is at a temperature of 43 °C ( 1 10°F).
The subject application relates to a gas arrestor system(s) and/or methodology that facilitate sensing and shutting down a gas-burning appliance via a circuit that can perform both functions. In particular, the system and method can detect specific gases and at specific concentration levels by way of a sensory- power circuit. The circuit performs vapor detection and provides power to various ignition-related portions of the appliance. When gas or gas vapors are detected in the ambient air of the circuit and satisfy a threshold for that particular type of vapor, the circuit is shorted which results in a power loss to at least the ignition--related portions of the appliance. As a result, undesirable ignition of such vapors is mitigated.
The subject application relates to a remote control system and method for an ice maker machine. The system, for example, can monitor and regulate the operations of a plurality of ice maker components. An output display can also be employed in order to output relevant operating statuses to a user remotely or at a distance from the ice maker machine. The system can receive user input as well as sensor input and control the operation of the ice maker according to both types of input. As a result, a user can remotely determine failure modes and efficiently troubleshoot them as well as maintain an overall awareness of the operation status of the ice maker without physical interaction with the machine.
