Abstract

The invention relates to a compressed air gun having a spring accumulator. The spring accumulator comprises a cylinder/piston unit (10), which has a compression chamber (22), a piston (24) and a piston spring (26) with a spring guide (28). Furthermore, a break barrel (12), which can be connected via a mouth piece (36) to the compression chamber (22), and a tensioning mechanism (14), which can be actuated by way of the break barrel (12) and is operatively connected to the piston (24) and the piston spring (26), and a firing mechanism (20) for triggering a shooting process are provided. The handle (16) is composed of two mirror imaged grip shells (16', 16"). The grip shells (16', 16") each have receiving halves (48', 48") which complement each other to form a closed receptacle and in which the cylinder/piston unit (10) is embedded with the tensioning mechanism (14). Furthermore, the grip shells (16', 16") form housing halves (60) complementing each other to form a closed flat housing, in which the components forming the firing mechanism (20) are mounted and supported.
