A waterproof structure for a vehicle door has: a cover member (10) for closing a service hole formed in an inner panel (30); and a clip (20) for removably mounting the cover member (10) to the inner panel (30). The cover member (10) is provided with a seat section (12) and a hole (14) for a tool. The seat section (12) is formed on the outer side of the cover member (10), the outer side facing the inner panel (30), and the clip (20) is mounted to the seat section (12). The clip (20) is provided with a dish (22d) for sealing the hole (14) for a tool. The seat section (12) of the cover member (10) is located so as to serve as eaves for the hole (14) for a tool. The seat section (12) is configured so as to change the path of water dropping toward the hole (14) for a tool from the outside of the cover member (10).
When fitted on the clip seat (22) of a mounted member (20), the clip is inserted into an installing hole (26) of a partner panel (24) and installs the mounted member (20) on the partner panel (24). A fastener may include an anchor that is configured to be inserted into an attaching hole formed in a panel. The anchor includes a pillar, at least one engagement strip positioned in at least one side of the pillar, and a guide block formed in a distal end of the pillar and having a planar shape corresponding to a shape of the attaching hole. The at least one engagement strip is capable of passing through the attaching hole while being flexed inwardly and engaging a periphery of the attaching hole when the anchor is inserted into the attaching hole. A clip may include an anchor portion that is configured to be inserted into an insertion hole formed in a subject member. The anchor portion has at least a pair of pillars that are positioned across an axis of the anchor portion, and flexible strips that are respectively connected to the pillars so as to be projected outward therefrom. The pillars are configured to be flexed about proximal ends thereof in a direction in which the pillars can intersect with each other. The flexible strips are configured to engage a periphery of the insertion hole formed in the subject member when the anchor portion is inserted into the insertion hole, so as to hold the anchor portion on the subject member with a retention force. The pillars can be applied with a flexing force when an extraction force greater than the retention force of the anchor portion is applied to the anchor portion, so as to be flexed in the direction in which the pillars can intersect with each other.
A cushion clip may include a cushioning portion made of a soft material and capable of being elastically deformed when a compression force is applied thereto, an attachment portion made of a hard material, and a connecting portion integrally formed with the attachment portion. The connecting portion is embedded in the cushioning portion such that the cushioning portion can be integrated with the attachment portion. A portion of the cushioning portion surrounding an outer circumferential periphery of an end surface of the connecting portion has a lateral thickness that is varied in a direction in which the compression force is applied to the cushioning portion.
A cushion clip includes a hollow cushioning portion, an engagement portion and a projection. The cushioning portion has a bottom wall portion and a side wall portion, and the side wall portion has cone-shaped outer and inner surfaces that are tapered from a proximal end toward a distal end thereof. The side wall portion has a top portion that is formed in the distal end thereof, and the top portion has an inner periphery radially inwardly protruding from the side wall portion and defining the central opening therein. The projection is cylindrically projected from the bottom wall portion toward the central opening of the cushioning portion, and has an upper end portion which diameter is larger than or equal to a diameter of the opening.
One aspect according to the present invention includes a base portion and a clamp portion. The base portion can be joined to a first member of a vehicle. The clamp portion is formed integrally with the base portion and can joined to a second member of the vehicle. The clamp portion includes a first jaw and a second jaw defining a receiving space therebetween. The receiving space can receive a part of the second member. A support portion is formed on one of the first and second jaws and is positioned within the receiving space. The support portion is resiliently deformable and can apply a pressing force against the part of the second member in a direction toward the other of the first and second jaws during and after insertion of the part of the second member into the receiving space.
The area of contact at a joint section between a clip body and a cushion body is increased to increase adhesive force between the clip body and the cushion body. A cushion clip is, in order to receive movement of a movable member, such as a door, to absorb the impact, provided with a clip body (10) inserted and mounted in a mounting hole formed in either a fixed member or the movable member and also with a cushion body (20) elastically deforming to absorb the impact. The clip body (10) consisting of a hard resin material and the cushion body (20) consisting of a soft resin material are integrally joined together by two-color molding at a joint section (J) between the clip body (10) and the cushion body (20). The clip body (10) at the joint section (J) is provided with a base (12) having entered the cushion body (20), and the base (12) has an irregular surface shape, such as ribs (30), for increasing the area of contact of the base (12) with the cushion body.
Disclosed is a two-member assembling structure, in which a load for holding the clip hole of a partner member can be selected by one kind of clip and in which a working mistake is eliminated at a step of mounting the clip in a mounting member. The two-member assembling structure adopts a constitution of the type, in which a clip (10) mounted on pedestals (32, 34 and 36) of a mounting member (30) is inserted into a clip hole (42) of a partner member (40). The clip (10) comprises: a pedestal fitting section (16) to be fitted on the ribs (32a, 34a and 36a) of the pedestals; retaining arms (20) for passing through the clip hole (42) while being elastically deformed, when the clip is inserted into or extracted from the clip hole; retaining faces (22) formed on the outer side faces of the retaining arms and capable of retaining the hole edge of the clip hole; stabilizing sections (24) extended from the retaining faces and opposed contactably to the ribs of the pedestals; and a regulating section (26) extending from the vicinity of the stabilizing sections toward the ribs of the pedestals. At least three kinds of the low holding pedestal (32), the medium holding pedestal (34) and the high holding pedestal (36) are prepared for the pedestals of the mounting member (30). The rib of the low holding pedestal is provided with a relief hole (32d), into which the regulating portion of the clip can proceed, and the rib of the high holding pedestal is provided with a protrusion (36d) for receiving the stabilizing sections of the clip.
A fastener (1) for attaching an attached article (W) to an attaching object (24) is taught that preferably include a holding member (10) that is arranged and constructed to hold the attached article, and an engagement leg (14) that is arranged and constructed to engage an engagement hole (26) formed in the attaching object (24) .
