Abstract

The invention relates to a grandstand roof (1) for roofing over the grandstand (2) of a stadium or the like, wherein the grandstand (2) rises from a lower grandstand edge to an upper grandstand edge (4) and wherein the grandstand roof (1) is fixed to a roof supporting structure (4) which extends on an outer edge of the grandstand until above the upper grandstand edge. The grandstand roof (1) has a roof element (3) which has a plurality of lifting bodies (5) which are separated from one another in a gas-tight manner, are connected to one another, can be connected detachably to the roof supporting structure (4) on a side facing the roof supporting structure (4) and are filled with a lifting gas. The lifting bodies (5) filled with the lifting gas are designed in such a way that vertical roof loads acting on the roof element (3) are approximately compensated for by lifting forces acting on the lifting bodies (5) of the roof element (3). The lifting bodies (5) of the roof element (3) are arranged at a spacing from one another.
