A composite fiber beverage container includes a partially spherical fiber pressure vessel capable of holding beverages at pressure. The composite fiber beverage container is made from a plurality of components made from plant-based fiber materials such as bagasse, bamboo, coconut husk, cotton, flax, hemp, jute, kenaf, paper, seaweed, straw, other fiber materials, or combinations thereof. The fiber materials are selected from recycled materials, newly made (e.g., nonrecycled) materials, or from a combination of recycled materials and nonrecycled materials.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MAINTAINING CARBONATION LEVELS IN BEVERAGES USING DYNAMIC CARBONATION PRECONDITIONING
An improved carbonation method, apparatus, and system includes a carbonation chamber, a temperature sensor, a pressure regulator, and a controller that determines a temperature of water entering the carbonation chamber and, when the temperature is above and outside of a predetermined temperature range, send a temperature adjustment to signal to a cooler to cool the water and, when the temperature is in the predetermined temperature range, determine whether a pressure of carbon dioxide gas entering the chamber should be adjusted corresponding to the specific temperature in the predetermined temperature range.

METHODS FOR PRETREATING HOPS USED IN BREWING AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES MADE FROM THE SAME
Pretreating hops includes soaking hops in whiskey for a period of time until the hops absorb a portion of the whiskey and begin to swell. These pretreated hops are in the form of hop flowers, a hop extract, a concentrated hop resin or liquid, or combinations thereof. In any case, the pretreated hops take on the flavors and aromas of the whiskey. A beer product is described that uses these pretreated hops added during the boil stage of brewing the beer, during fermentation of the beer, and/or after fermentation of the beer. Adding the pretreated hops during the brewing process results in the flavors and aromas from the whiskey imparting to the beer. The process obviates the requirement for finishing the beer in whiskey barrels or adding whiskey to the beer product after manufacturing to obtain a complex flavor profile.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING HIGH-GRAVITY BEER INTO SPIRITS
Methods and systems are provided that process beer into an oxygen-stable long shelf life spirit. The process includes introducing oxygen into the beer and heating the beer to a temperature within a predetermined temperature range and allowing the beer to age at the predetermined temperature for a number of days. During this aging process, the beer transforms into an oxidized beer spirit. The beer spirit is cooled to room temperature and is then chilled for a period of time to separate unwanted precipitate and byproducts from the beer spirit. After the beer spirit is chilled, the beer spirit is forced through at least one filter to remove precipitate and provide a clear and filtered spirit having a complex taste and aroma profile.

Methods and systems are provided that suppress or arrest oxidation in beer by altering the pH level of beer to a neutralized state. An appropriate pH level for the beer, where oxidation reactions are suppressed, is determined and the beer is subjected to an alkaline substrate that raises the original pH level of the beer to an increased pH level. The alkaline substrate releases hydroxyl ions into the beer, raising the pH level, without requiring the addition of chemicals or compounds to alter the pH level. This pH-neutralized beer may be stored or shipped and then returned to a target pH-adjusted level by subjecting the pH-neutralized beer to a pH-adjustment treatment. The pH adjustment treatment uses an ion exchange substrate to extract a predetermined amount of the hydroxyl ions from the pH-neutralized beer producing a target pH-adjusted beer having a lower pH level at the original target fresh flavor.
Methods and systems are described that produce an ultra-high gravity alcoholic beverage from a high gravity alcoholic beverage stream using an efficient, low waste, combination reverse osmosis and forward osmosis system and an enhanced draw solution. Utilizing a reverse osmosis system prior to using a forward osmosis system in removing water content from a high gravity alcoholic beverage stream significantly reduces a draw solution load when compared to a process that utilizes a forward osmosis system alone or prior to using any other dewatering system. In addition, the enhanced draw solution, comprising at least one of acetaldehyde, amyl acetate, ethyl acetate, ethyl hexanoate, ethyl octanoate, iso-amyl acetate, iso-amyl alcohol, iso-butanol, n-propanol, pentyl acetate, and phenyl ethyl alcohol, offers an efficient and low-cost alternative to ethanol-based draw solutions.

C12G 3/08 - Preparation of other alcoholic beverages by methods for altering the composition of fermented solutions or alcoholic beverages not provided for in groups
The present invention provides a process for treating a wort composition in a kettle, said method providing a significant energy saving compared to existing wort treatment processes. In particular, the process includes a hot-hold step for the wort, followed by gas sparging at elevated temperatures.
Methods and systems are provided for processing constituent materials from brewer's spent grains (BSG) for making packaging and/or products. The spent grains are arranged into a set of balanced constituent materials of approximately 80% to 90% grains, 10% to 20% hops, and less than 1% of spices by weight. This set of constituent materials is then formed into products, such as paper and packaging. The paper can be used to create labels or other carriers for beverages, especially for bottled beverages.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR THE FILTRATION AND STABILIZATION OF ULTRA-HIGH GRAVITY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
Methods and systems are described that filter and stabilize ultra-high gravity alcoholic beverages produced by forward osmosis. A rough ultra-high gravity alcoholic beverage may be received from a dewatering system and then passed on to a chiller as part of a post dewatering process. The ultra-high gravity alcoholic beverage may be held at a predetermined temperature for a specific amount of time such that the temperature of the ultra-high gravity alcoholic beverage is prevented from falling below a freezing point of the ultra-high gravity alcoholic beverage. The chilled ultra-high gravity alcoholic beverage is then passed through a number of filters of a filtration system. The filters may be arranged in an order progressing from coarse to fine filters, where haze compounds and their precursors are removed from the ultra-high gravity alcoholic beverage producing a clear and stable product.

Methods and systems are provided for the extraction of protein rich flour and fiber rich flour from brewer's spent grains (BSG). The extraction of protein from the BSG may include preparing the BSG by controlling the temperature in a hot grain storage system and in some cases dewatering the BSG to acceptable moisture content levels. In extracting the protein rich and fiber rich flour, the BSG is conveyed to a device that dries, mills, and fractionates the BSG into separated protein and fiber extract.
