Abstract

Sheath for fastening railway rails, method and tools for replacing said sheath of a sleeper, devoid of projections preventing rotation thereof and including a helicoidal groove (5) in an external surface shaped to house a helicoidal projection (6) of the sleeper (7) and to thread into said helicoidal projection (6), wherein said sheath (1) comprises an interior thread (3) shaped to take a male thread (4) of a spike (1'), where said helicoidal groove (5) includes an upper portion (5') of concave curved shape and a lower straight portion (5''), the sheath comprising (1) dismantable anti-rotation means (2) configured to prevent a rotation movement of the sheath (1) when it is fitted in the sleeper (7).
