Abstract

A ticket printer comprises a path along which a strip of paper (P) advances. The path terminates at a presentation outlet (2) of a ticket separated from the strip. On the path, there is a movable deviating body (12) that can selectively close or open an accumulating zone (10) that branches off from the path and can receive a part of a strip that will be severed to form the ticket.

In a ticket printer (1), an end of paper sensor (4) has an optic emitter (5) and receiver (6) arranged one after the other in the paper advancement direction (F) and operationally connected together via a signal guide, in which the emitter and the receiver are arranged on a side of the path of the paper whereas the signal guide is arranged on the opposite side.
