Abstract
The invention relates to a method for operating a service device for vehicle air conditioning systems, in particular for the self-cleaning of said device. The service device is equipped with a discharging and a filling device for suctioning the coolant/compressor oil mixture out of the coolant circuit system of a vehicle air conditioning system and for refilling the vehicle air conditioning system with coolant and compressor oil. A vacuum pump (113) is used to completely empty the coolant circuit system of the vehicle air conditioning system and/or the service device, and furthermore the vehicle air conditioning system is refilled with coolant, compressor oil, and optionally an additive using a refilling system (115, 119) with a highly pressurized coolant supply (115). According to the invention, an evacuated or at least partially evacuated flushing agent tank (153) is directly or indirectly connected to at least one of the high-pressure connectors of the service device and/or the downstream pressure tubes and/or the switching valve block via a connecting line; an additional fluid connection to the highly pressurized coolant supply results such that coolant is flushed or flows from the coolant supply into the flushing agent tank; and fluid lines and/or channels containing the coolant/compressor oil mixture from the previous servicing are entirely or partially flushed clear.

Abstract
The invention relates to a service unit for vehicle air-conditioning systems, which is provided with an emptying and filling device for removing the coolant or a coolant/compressor oil mixture from a vehicle air-conditioning system and replenishing the vehicle air-conditioning system with coolant and optionally with compressor oil. Said device further comprises at least one tank (126) for coolant and a vacuum pump (132) for generating a negative pressure in the vehicle air-conditioning system emptied of coolant or coolant/compressor oil mixture for a subsequent intake of coolant and optionally compressor oil into the vehicle air-conditioning system to be replenished. In order to be able to use flammable or otherwise critical coolants, such as, for example, the coolant R-1234 yf, without danger in a generic service unit for vehicle air-conditioning systems, a chimney-like gas-collecting chamber (110) having upper and lower openings (110A, 110B) is arranged inside the service unit (100) and is otherwise sealed off from the surrounding atmosphere. An active fan (120) is provided to enable ambient air to flow through the chimney-like gas-collecting chamber (110) from top to bottom.

Abstract
The invention relates to a method for maintaining a vehicle air-conditioning unit operated with a closed coolant circulation system, in which in a first maintenance phase a circulation mixture comprising coolant, compressor oil and optionally further mixture constituents is extracted by suction from a vehicle air-conditioning unit via a separator into a separator stage (140) by means of a compressor (112), during which process coolant is separated by means of the separator from the extracted circulation mixture, compressed, and collected and the quantity thereof is determined. In a second maintenance phase, the coolant circulation system of the vehicle air-conditioning unit is largely completely emptied by means of a vacuum pump (113). The residual gas pumped off in the second maintenance phase is conducted through the separating stage (140) by means of the compressor (112) and the quantity of residual coolant collected in the process is determined.

Abstract
The invention relates to a plug device (10) in the form of a cigarette lighter plug, in particular for motor vehicles, for an electric connection to a low voltage outlet (20), comprising a housing part (12, 12A, 12B) located outside of the outlet (20), comprising a contact shell (11) that can be inserted into a contact sleeve (21) of the outlet (20), with at least one clamping means (13) arranged in a housing wall recess (11A) of the contact shell having at least one clamping jaw (13A) for fixing the plug device (10) after the insertion thereof into the outlet (20), with at least one spreading means (14) for outwardly spreading the at least one clamping jaw (13A) in relation to the contact shell (11) and with means for displacing the at least one spreading means (14). In order to be able to send relatively high currents to a user through a plug device in a safe manner and/or to improve the secure handling of the plug device, the invention proposes that the means for displacing the at least one spreading means (14) comprise a pushbutton arranged on a housing part (12, 12A, 12B) outside of the plug that is designed in such a way that the at least one spreading means (14) is displaced from a resting position (R) releasing the clamping jaws (13A) into a lockable spreading position (S) of the at least one clamping jaw (13A) and vice versa.
