The invention relates to a measuring assembly (10) for multidimensionally measuring feet. The measuring assembly (10) comprises a measuring device (12) having at least two mechanical slides (26) and a plurality of optical markings (34, 36), of which at least one marking (34) is on one of the mechanical slides (26) and one marking (36), which serves as a reference, is apart from of the mechanical slide (26). The mechanical slides (26) can be pushed to different contact points of a foot (32) such that the geometric distance between the marking (36) serving as a reference and the at least one marking (34) which is on one of the mechanical slides (26) changes. The measuring assembly (10) furthermore comprises a terminal device (14) having a camera (38) for capturing the optical markings (34, 36), and a processor (16) which is configured to calculate the resulting foot measurements based on the captured positions of the optical marking (34, 36). The invention also relates to a method for multidimensionally measuring feet.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and apparatus for categorizing items of clothing and a method and an apparatus for selecting footwear having an improved fit. A parameter which describes the fit and/or the size of an item of clothing is acquired by using a measurement carried out on the relevant item of clothing. This measurement is carried out for a plurality of items of clothing from different manufacturers but having an identical manufacturer clothing size, wherein a plurality of different manufacturer clothing sizes is also considered. A frequency analysis is then carried out for the occurrence of specific values for the at least one parameter for items of clothing having an identical manufacturer clothing size. The items of clothing are categorized by means of renewed allocation of the clothing size, wherein the items of clothing are allocated a new clothing size such that the parameters for the items of clothing provided with the new clothing sizes exhibit less scatter within this new clothing size.

Abstract

A description is given of a method for cost-effectively selecting in a largely automated manner bestfit footwear with an optimally selected or individualized footbed. A preferably multi-sensory foot scanner is used to determine, at the same time, the geometrical 3-dimensional shape of the foot and the printed image of the foot sole, which is registered for this purpose. A database of digitized shoe interiors is used to determine, via a best fit selection, the mass-produced item of footwear which best matches the 3D foot model. Using a traditional system for producing individualized insoles or footbeds, an insole appropriate for the sole of the foot is selected or produced and, in a further, novel method step according to the invention, using numerical determination of the 3-dimensional surface areas of the footbed, foot sole and peripheral zone of the sole in the inner shoe, or the insole chamber, the required insole, which constitutes the footbed, is selected, or further processed numerically, such that it fits optimally into the selected bestfit item of footwear which has been put on.

Abstract

A support plate (12), on which a horizontal flat standing surface is formed and which supports two vertically projecting posts (16), is rotated about a vertical axis. A stationary triangulation measuring head, consisting of at least one camera and at least one light line projector, projects light lines (32, 33) perpendicular to the plane of the support plate onto a person standing upright on the standing surface of the support plate. Encoded marks (31) that can be evaluated photogrammetrically are disposed on the support plate around the standing surface and on the post. The images recorded by the camera during the rotation of the support plate are transmitted to a processor, and by means of a photogrammetric program the processor determines the three-dimensional shape of the person or of a part of the person. For this purpose, a marking-free field (19) is disposed on the support plate and a marking-free field (19) is disposed on the post. On the basis of the position of the photogrammetric marks as well as the positions and shapes of the light trails on the marking-free fields, the processor determines the parameters of the triangulation measuring head and thus carries out a self-calibration of the detection process.

Abstract

The invention relates to a cost-efficient method and an arrangement for the 3D digitization of bodies and body parts, which creates dense and exact spatial coordinates despite imprecise optics and mechanics. The body to be digitized is placed onto a photogrammetrically marked surface, a photogrammetrically marked strap is applied to the body or body part to be digitized, and a triangulation arrangement comprising a camera and light pattern projector is moved on a path around the body. Through the photogrammetric evaluation of the photogrammetric marks of the surface and the strip located in the image field of the camera and the light traces of the light projector on the marked surface and the marked strip, all unknown inner and outer parameters of the triangulation arrangement are determined, and from the light traces on the unmarked body the absolute spatial coordinates of the body or the body part are determined with high pixel density and high accuracy, without separate calibration methods.

Abstract

The invention relates to the optical detection of the spatial shape of spatially positioned feet, more particularly a method for the three-dimensional digitized detection of the spatial shape of at least one foot or both feet of a person in order to select or individually manufacture footwear. Said method encompasses the following steps: a desired position is established for the foot/feet, said desired position being predefined by the footwear that is to be selected or manufactured; the foot/feet is/are brought into the desired position with the help of a device that is preferably adjustable using a motor; the three-dimensional shape of the foot/feet is optically detected and digitized in the desired position. Also disclosed is an arrangement, by means of which one foot or both feet of a person is/are brought into a desired position in which the three-dimensional shape of the foot/feet is digitized in a primarily contactless manner. Said arrangement comprises a bottom plate, a first support, and a second support. The first and the second support are movable, preferably using a motor, parallel and perpendicular to the bottom plate in order to bring the foot/feet into the desired position.
