Abstract

The present invention relates to a packing apparatus for packing a food product (4) in a packing tray composed of at least two part-trays (5, 6), wherein the packing apparatus has a folding device for folding a flange (9), which is formed by mutually opposite and at least partially adjoining edge portions (7, 8) protruding from the respective part-tray (5, 6), and a sealing device for sealing the flange (9). To simplify the sealing and folding device and the complex kinematics thereof, the packing apparatus is characterized in that the sealing device is provided by a part of the folding device and is configured in such a way that a sealing seam (31) is generated when a distal flange portion (12) is turned up in the course of the folding. The invention further relates to a method for sealing and folding a flange (9) of a packing tray for a food product (4).

Abstract

The present invention relates to a food packaging comprising a first partial shell, which has a first depression and a first flange delimiting said first depression; a second partial shell, which has a second depression and a second flange delimiting said second depression; the first and second partial shells being coupled to each other via their flanges thus defining a cavity for holding food. The invention relates to novel types of packaging and partial shells. The first partial shell can be made of a material that is different from that of the second partial shell. The partial shell can have a window that consists of a first material which is different from a second material that forms at least one outer surface of the partial shell. The flange can have a first region that consists of a first material and a second region that consists of a second material. The partial shell can be shaped by deep drawing and the material to be deep drawn can be provided for shaping already in a segmented form so that the partial shell has at least two surface segments that consist of different materials. The partial shell can have surface segments that are composed of at least three different materials. The geometry of a flat element can be different from the geometry of a bending line between a depression and the flange projecting away therefrom. The food packaging can have a cut-out portion and the foodstuff can protrude from the food packaging through said cut-out portion.

Abstract

The invention relates to a time-efficient, cost-effective, reliable and material-saving device (1) for cutting off and providing a film part unit (20) from a food packaging film strip (7), comprising a cutting station (2) configured to intermittently cut off film part units (20) from a film strip (7) intermittently passing through the cutting station (2) in a conveying direction (5), characterised in that the cutting station (2) is configured to pre-cut a film part unit (20) in a working step, wherein the film part unit (20) remains connected to the film strip (7), and to cut off a film part unit (20) from the film strip (7) that is adjacent in the conveying direction (5) and already pre-cut in a previous working step. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a foil material half-shell edge which protrudes from a surface of the packaging of a packaged food product, said half-shells receiving the food product. The half-shells have flanges, at least some regions of which lie one on top of the other and which form the protruding edge. The aim of the invention is to improve a quick and reliable method which can be carried out with little effort for improving the appearance of food products packaged in foil half-shells. This is achieved in that during a relative movement between a packaged food product and a die, an edge region of the die presses against the protruding edge of the films, whereby the edge of the foils is at least partly produced on one of the half-shells. The invention further relates to a device which corresponds to the method.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing packaging for a food product, in particular a hollow shaped chocolate article. In the disclosed method, two half-shells are provided, each of which includes a pre-shaped, curved thin foil having an edge that projects peripherally, a food product is introduced between the half-shells, the edges of the half-shells are coupled to one another such that the two half-shells accommodate the product in a cavity, a sealing layer being provided in at least some sections between the edges, and the edges are joined to one another using a sealing and folding process. In order to be able to carry out said method as easily and conveniently as possible, effectively seal the half-shells at the edges and obtain packaging that is esthetically appealing from the outside, the sealing process is performed at the same time as the edges are folded or after the edges have been folded. The disclosed manufacturing method results in packaging in which the sealed portion extends transversely across the fold line.

Abstract

The invention relates to a packaging (1) for a food product, in particular for a confectionery hollow body (2), in particular in an egg shape, comprising a curved shell (4) consisting of two partial shells (3) and composed of pre-formed, thin metal foil, the partial shells (3) of which form a hollow interior for accommodating the product, the partial shells (3) being connected to each other at the edges (5) thereof adjoining each other, at a parting plane (6), wherein a tear-open tab (7) branches outward from the edge (5) of at least one of the partial shells, which tear-open tab is formed integrally with the metal foil of the partial shell (3). The problem addressed by the invention is that of improving said packaging to the effect that, despite the simple production of the packaging of the confectionery hollow body, the confectionery hollow body is safely and permanently hygienically packaged therein and the packaging nevertheless can be reliably opened by means of simple handling. This problem is solved, according to the invention, in that the tear-open tab (7) composed of metal foil itself forms the only tear-open means for forming a tear-open segment (8), which extends inward from the tear-open tab (7) across the connection (5) of the partial shells (3).
