Provided is a warp knitted fabric (1) having a base part (2) and a plurality of protruding parts (6) formed parallel to each other along the direction of knitting on this base part (2), wherein each protruding part (6) comprises a band-shaped top part (3) that is formed from a knitted row extending along the direction of knitting and a pair of side wall parts (4, 5) that are positioned on both sides below the top part (3) and each of which is formed from a knitted row extending along the top part (3). The base part (2) side of the knitted row of each of the side wall parts (4, 5) is knitted into the base part (2), and the top part (2) side is knitted into the top part (2), linking the base part (2) and the top part (3). At least one of the pair of side wall parts (4, 5) has, in at least part thereof in the direction of knitting, a different color knitted part that is knitted with yarn of a color different from other parts.

A woven/knitted fabric (1) has multiple protruding lines (6) formed along one direction and each protruding line (6) is configured from a top (3) and side walls (4 and 5) below the top (3). Of the top (3) and the side walls (4 and 5), at least one has a color different from the other two. The protruding lines (6) of at least some of the multiple protruding lines (6) are disposed so that the distance L4 to an adjacent protruding line (6) is 0.2-2.5 mm. When the width of the top (3) is L1, the thickness of the top (3) is L2, the heights of the side walls (4 and 5) are L3, and the spacing between the wall surfaces of the side walls (4 and 5) is L5, the protruding lines (6) are set so that L1-L5 satisfy the following relationships. Ratio Ra = (L2 + L3)/L4 = 0.8-7.9 Ratio Rb = L1/(L2 + L3) = 0.4-1.6 Ratio Rc = L2/L3 = 0.2-0.9 Ratio Rd = L1/L5 = 0.4-1.2

This shoe (10) has an upper (12) that is partially or entirely formed of a warp-knitted fabric (1). The warp-knitted fabric (1) comprises a base portion and a plurality of protruding ridge portions formed parallel to one another on the base portion along the knitting direction. Each of the protruding ridge portions comprises: a top portion comprising knitted lines extending in the knitting direction; and two side wall portions that extend in the knitting direction, are interwoven into the base portion on the base portion side and hooked to the top portion on the top portion side, and comprise knitted lines that are knitted so as to bridge the base portion and the top portion. At least one portion of the top portion and the two side wall portions has a different color from that of the other portions.
The present invention relates to a knitted fabric that can be produced at low cost and that can exhibit a stable color effect, and also relates to a method for knitting the same. A warp knitted fabric (1) includes: a base section (2); a top section (3); and ridges (6) formed along the knitting direction and comprising two side-wall sections (4, 5) formed on two sides of the top section (3). The top section (3) and the two side-wall sections (4, 5) are each formed by chain stitch lines formed by knitting yarn of different colors. When an observer looks at the warp knitted fabric (1) from a direction intersecting the knitting direction, the warp knitted fabric (1) exhibits a color effect whereby the colors seen by the observer change depending on the position from which the observer looks at the warp knitted fabric (1).
