Abstract

The present invention relates to a pressure equalisation device for a housing, having a main body which has an inner side and an outer side and which is designed as a hollow cylinder at least in some regions, wherein the main body has a housing-side gas passage opening on its first base surface and at least one gas overpressure opening in its lateral surface, and a housing seal which is arranged on the outer side of the main body in the circumferential direction and has a first sealing region and a second sealing region. When the pressure equalisation device is installed in the housing, the first sealing region of the housing seal rests against the housing and against the lateral surface and seals the housing with respect to the pressure equalisation device. The second sealing region fully covers the gas overpressure opening and is elastically outwardly deformable at a pressure difference, between inner pressure at the inner side of the main body and outer pressure at the outer side of the main body, which exceeds a threshold value, as a result of which a flow-guiding connection between inner side and outer side through the gas overpressure opening is provided.

Abstract

The present invention relates to an insert element for insertion between two adjacent battery cells of a battery module, and to a battery module of this type. In order to improve insert elements of this type, in particular with regard to the flexibility of their use and their configuration, an insert element is proposed comprising two rigid cover plates and an intermediate layer which is arranged between the two cover plates, can be compressed elastically, and is constructed from a multiplicity of individual compression elements which are arranged distributed over the entire intermediate layer. The compression elements are each of at least partially hose-shaped or tubular configuration and have one or more predetermined bending points in a region between the cover plates which move, in the case of compression of the intermediate layer, by way of reduction of the spacing between the cover plates in a direction transversely with respect to a connecting line between the cover plates.

Abstract

A tube coupling apparatus includes first and second clamping jaws that are mounted on a tool body. The clamping jaws are movable relative to each other between an open configuration in which they are receive a compressible tube connector, and a closed configuration in which they apply a compression force to compress the compressible tube coupling about one or more tube members. An actuator is arranged to move at least one of the clamping jaws to the closed configuration and a controller is operative to control the actuator. A sensor is provided that is arranged to determine a system parameter indicative of the compression force applied to the coupling by the clamping jaws and to progressively increase the compression force of the clamping jaws during a fitting operation. The controller monitors the system parameter data from the sensor and automatically controls the actuator to prevent the compression force exceeding a predetermined threshold based on the sensor data.

Abstract

A one-way valve (2) is disclosed which comprises a valve body (4) having a flow inlet (10) and a flow outlet (40) and a bore extending through the valve body between the flow inlet and the flow outlet, and a valve member. The bore defines a chamber (20) in which the valve member can translate, the chamber having a valve seat (18). The valve member can translate in the chamber between an open position in which it is separated from the valve seat allowing flow through the valve body in a normal direction from the flow inlet to the flow outlet, and a closed position in which it engages the valve seat to close the valve body against flow of fluid in a reverse direction from the flow outlet towards the inlet. The valve body defines a bypass channel (26, 22, 32, 52, 56) through which fluid can flow, separated from the chamber, between a first channel port which is open to the chamber at a location adjacent to the valve seat and spaced in a direction towards the flow outlet from the point of contact between the valve member and the valve seat, and a second channel port which is open to the chamber at a location spaced in a direction towards the flow outlet from the valve member when it is in its open position. The valve member translates in the chamber in a close sliding fit between its open and closed positions so that flow of fluid between the flow inlet and the flow outlet occurs primarily through the bypass channel.

Abstract

A control valve assembly for a load handling vehicle such as forklift comprises a valve body having a bore and a spool located within the bore that is axially movable along the bore between at least two operating configurations. The valve body includes a service port connected to a hydraulic actuator, a pressure port connected to a pump, and a tank port connected to a hydraulic tank reservoir. The valve is reconfigurable between first and second operating configurations. In the first operating configuration the spool defines a fluid pathway connecting the pump port, the service port and the tank port such that in a first flow direction fluid is able to flow from the pressure port to the service port and the tank port, and in a second flow direction fluid is able to flow from the service port to the pressure port and the tank port. The spool is also controllable in the first operating configuration to variably restrict flow to the tank port. In the second operating configuration the spool defines a fluid pathway connecting the pressure port and the actuator port, and is controllable to variably restrict flow between the pressure port and the actuator port.

The method comprising the steps of sensing the pressure associated with the meter-out chamber (2) with a first pressure sensor (4) which is generating a first pressure signal, sensing the pressure associated with the meter-in chamber (3) with a second pressure sensor (5) which is generating a second pressure signal, processing the first pressure signal in a first signal processing filter (9) into a filtered first pressure signal, wherein in response to the filtered first pressure signal and a filtered or non-filtered second pressure signal delivering a control signal from a control unit (6) to the meter-out valve (7), and wherein the meter-out valve (7) in response to the control signal controls the pressure in the meter-in chamber (3) by regulating the fluid out from the meter-out chamber (2). The disclosure also relates to a corresponding system for controlling the pressure in the chambers of a hydraulic cylinder (1) having a meter-out chamber (2) and a meter-in chamber (3).

Abstract

The disclosure relates to an electro-hydraulic control system (1) for directing fluid to at least one hydraulic actuator (10), the system (1) comprising at least one electronic controller (3, 4); first and second pilot valves (5, 6) being electrically connected to the at least one electronic controller (3, 4) which is arranged to control the operation of the first and second pilot valves (5, 6), third and fourth pilot valves (7, 8) being electrically connected to the at least one electronic controller (3, 4) which is arranged to control operation of the third and fourth pilot valves (7, 8). A pilot operated main valve (9) is configured to control fluid flow to at least one hydraulic actuator (10). Each of the first and second pilot valves (5, 6) and the third and fourth pilot valves (7, 8) is a fail-safe pilot valve arranged to drain a regulated outlet port to a low pressure reservoir (15) if a spool of the fail-safe pilot valve (5, 6, 7, 8) becomes stuck in an open state.
