Abstract

The present invention relates to a renal cancer assembloid and a producing method thereof. The renal cancer assembloid according to the present invention is produced by co-culturing RCC, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts to produce an RCC spheroid, and then assembling the RCC spheroid with a renal organoid. It was confirmed that the renal cancer assembloid expresses not only a tumor-related gene but also a renal gene, and thus, the renal cancer assembloid according to the present invention has the effect of simultaneously reproducing a renal tumor and a tumor microenvironment (TME). Therefore, the renal cancer assembloid according to the present invention is expected to be useful for drug screening and biomarker evaluation for renal cancer.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a brain-metastatic lung cancer cell line and a use of Noggin as a marker for brain metastasis of lung cancer. In the present invention, a brain metastatic lung cancer cell line with optimized characteristics for brain metastasis was established by repeatedly transplanting the lung cancer cell line through the carotid artery. In addition, in the brain metastatic lung cancer cell line, the expressions of Noggin protein and its mRNA are reduced, confirming that the motility and invasiveness of cells are reduced and adhesion increased. Therefore, the Noggin protein or its gene is expected to be useful as a biomarker for diagnosis of brain metastasis of lung cancer and its target therapy.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an alveolar organoid using alveolar cell-derived induced pluripotent stem cells. The alveolar organoid manufactured according to the present invention is differentiated from the human alveolar cell-derived induced pluripotent stem cells, and thus induced pluripotent stem cells may efficiently differentiate into alveolar organoids due to the epigenetic memory of alveolar cells. Therefore, the alveolar organoids are expected to be effectively used for research on the pathological process of respiratory diseases, screening for finding therapeutic drugs, and the like.

Abstract

The present invention relates to self-assembled nanoparticles comprising a novel choline-poly(ε-caprolactone) conjugate, in which, by using the specific interaction between choline and choline transporters, chemically modifying the surface of nanoparticles with choline to temporarily prevent choline transporters from transporting choline into cells, and self-assembling an amphiphilic conjugate consisting of hydrophilic choline and hydrophobic poly(ε-caprolactone) in an aqueous phase, nanostructures are prepared, and choline modified on the surface of the nanoparticles is specifically bound to choline transporters of cancer cells, wherein this binding reduces the intracellular uptake of choline by choline transporters, which may result in delayed or suppressed cancer cell growth and lead to cancer cell death.

Abstract

The present invention relates to an immunomodulatory therapeutic composition for immunomodulation through the transplantation of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived mitochondria. The iPSC-derived mitochondria according to the present invention overexpress UCP2, and the expression of UCP2 was found to be associated with an immunomodulatory effect. In addition, the administration of iPSC-derived mitochondria was found to enhance mitochondrial function and thereby increase ATP synthesis and mitochondrial membrane potential. In addition, the present invention was found to regulate the expression of autoimmune disease-related immune cells and to increase the synergistic effect of immune cell regulation when used in combination with metformin. In addition, the present invention was found to reduce the activity of autoimmune disease symptoms and inhibit cell expression related to autoimmunity. In addition, treating peripheral blood mononuclear cells with iPSC-derived mitochondria was found to inhibit Th17 expression and increase Treg expression, as well as improve immunomodulation and ameliorate the pathological activity of various immune diseases.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a polynomial curve design technology and, more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for designing a polynomial curve by using a hodograph control polygon. According to an embodiment of the present invention, even when the order of the polynomial curve increases, the shape of the curve can be easily predicted. In addition, the shape of the curve can be adjusted by moving the position of a control point, and simultaneously, a tangent vector at a specific point on the curve can be controlled through each side of the hodograph control polygon, whereby the shape of the polynomial curve can be easily adjusted. Since the sum of the lengths of respective sides of the hodograph control polygon corresponds to a numerical integral of a speed function of the polynomial curve, the hodograph control polygon and the curve have similar lengths, and thus the shape and length can be simultaneously controlled when the polynomial curve is designed.

Abstract

Provided is an immunomodulatory treatment composition for a transplantation disease through combined administration of a microbiome and an immunosuppressant. According to the present disclosure, it was confirmed that in an allogeneic transplantation cell model, combined administration of FK506 and the microbiome suppressed alloresponse and regulated the activity of T cells and B cells. Further, it was confirmed that in an acute graft-versus-host disease animal model, the combined administration reduced the disease activity, increased the probability of survival, and protected the tissue damage. In addition, it was confirmed that the combined administration improved transplantation rejection diseases by reducing the activity of Th1 and Th17 and increasing the activity of Tregs, and thus can be usefully used as an immunomodulator for transplantation rejection.

The injection device comprises: a filler tank containing the material which is injected into the first sample; a pressure gauge for measuring the pressure at which the material is injected into the first sample; a pressure regulator for regulating the pressure at which the material is injected into the first sample; and a processor. The processor may be configured to check the pressure measured through the pressure gauge and regulate the checked pressure through the pressure regulator on the basis of an adequate material injection state acquired from the server.

Abstract

The present invention relates to extramammary Paget disease biomarkers, such as SPDEF, ARG2, and ABEP1, and uses thereof that were discovered by exploring the molecular profile as well as performing a comprehensive genetic analysis of EMPD. The present invention investigates how EMPD evolves in the context of treatment and may elucidate a potential mechanism of progression to invasion. Furthermore, the biomarkers of the present invention may be usefully used in the diagnosis or treatment of extramammary Paget disease in that the tissue microenvironments and cell types associated with EMPD may be further characterized using spatial transcriptomics.
