Abstract
The invention relates to a compact device (1), that can be easily integrated into the system environment of an injection moulding machine, for optically checking objects, wherein the objects to be checked move from the top edge (3.1) to the lower edge (3.2) on an inclined panel (3). The viewing angle of multiple image-recording units (6) capture the entire width of the panel and synchronously record multiple respective digital images of the objects moving on the panel. Ejection fingers (4), which can be pivoted individually by a separate drive, are arranged in parallel next to one another on the lower edge of the panel. A processing unit (7) of the device is programmed to identify all objects fully displayed in the images, to check each identified object for at least one feature, to track said object and to calculate at what time and in which rotational position each identified object reaches a position in the region of the ejection fingers, wherein, depending on this calculation and the result of the test, the drive of at least one ejection finger is actuated in a targeted manner in order to eject the identified object.

Abstract
In order to produce a test system for testing, by means of a multi-camera system, objects that are to be tested from all sides and have a position variance about a vertical axis, according to the invention, a motor-driven rotary plate which is rotatable about an axis of rotation can be temporarily introduced into an already existing test area of the test system. A reference object for the matching objects to be tested is placed by its standing surface on the rotary plate. By means of the image capture devices already present in the test area, a plurality of reference images of the reference object are captured in different rotary positions of the rotary plate and are stored in a processing unit for the images. After the reference images have been captured, the rotary plate is removed from the test area, and the control operation of the test system for capturing test images of the objects to be tested can begin.

Abstract
A separating device of an optical testing unit for testing rotationally symmetrical test objects includes two corresponding pocket wheels, each having a plurality of pockets distributed uniformly over a circumference. The pocket wheels rotate synchronously in opposite directions about parallel axes in response to a drive. A continuous conveyor transports the test objects on a transporting plane. Depending on the geometry of the test objects, the distances between the respective pocket wheels and between the pocket wheels and the transporting plane are determined so that the test objects, which are fed via and accumulating section, are moved between the pocket wheels while being guided by two pockets of the two pocket wheels and are released by the two pockets downstream of an engagement section. Abstract
The invention relates to a device for sorting and transporting at least two types of objects, for example container closures with different diameters, comprising a continuous conveyor with a conveyor belt which runs in a conveying direction. The conveyor belt has a plurality of carriers for the objects, said carriers being designed as profiled strips, and the conveyor belt first runs through a loading part and then through a sorting and steep conveying part, which conveys the objects upwards, in the conveying direction. Each profiled strip has a first and a second support surface, said support surfaces having different dimensions. The conveyor belt can be selectively used in a first or second running direction in the continuous conveyor such that in the first running direction of the conveyor belt, the first support surface is the front support surface in the conveying direction and in the second running direction of the conveyor belt, the second support surface is the front support surface in the conveying direction. No changeover part in the form of another conveyor belt must be provided in order to sort the at least two object types. It is only necessary to uninstall the conveyor belt and mount same on the continuous conveyor in the opposite running direction.

The invention relates to a method for testing preforms (2) during their conveyance along a conveyance path (11) by means of a conveyance device (8), the preforms being rotationally symmetrical with respect to an axis of rotation (3) and only a statistically relevant number of produced preforms (2) being tested, thus allowing substantial reduction in the constructive complexity required for aligning the preforms (2) prior to being tested because a certain number of preforms (2) that have not been correctly aligned can continue their path without being tested. Moreover, the invention relates to a device for carrying out the method.

Abstract
In order to create a separating device of an optical testing unit for rotationally symmetrical test objects where damage to test objects is largely avoided, it is proposed that, for separating purposes, two corresponding pocket wheels (3.1, 3.2) having a plurality of pockets (3.4) distributed uniformly over the circumference should be provided, said pocket wheels being made to rotate synchronously in opposite directions about parallel axes by means of a drive. Depending on the geometry of the test objects, the distances between the respective pocket wheels (3.1, 3.2) and between said pocket wheels and a transporting plane of a continuous conveyor are determined such that the test objects which are fed via an accumulating section (7) of the continuous conveyor are moved through between the pocket wheels (3.1, 3.2) while being guided in a form-fitting manner in each case by two pockets of the two pocket wheels (3.1, 3.2), and are released by the two pockets downstream of the engagement section (8). Once released, the test objects are accelerated to a higher transporting speed in an accelerating section (9) of the continuous conveyor and are separated as a result.

Abstract
The invention relates to a method and a device for detecting a geometric feature of consistent molded parts in an optical inspection system. In order to reliably determine geometric features of the molded parts independently of the duration of transport of the molded parts removed from a molding tool of a casting machine to the inspection system, the invention takes into account the different stages of cooling due to the different durations of transport of the individual removed molded parts to the inspection system, in that not only the at least one geometric feature is detected in the inspection system, but that also the temperature of each molded part is measured without contact while the molded parts pass through the inspection system. The detected geometric features are corrected with the aid of a calibration function taking into account the measured temperatures.

Abstract
The invention relates to a test performed in a test chamber which lies within the detection range of a plurality of digital image-recording devices and is free from additional fittings. The test objects are moved through the test chamber in a separated and non-guided manner, and at the same time are recorded by the digital image-recording devices. In a data-processing unit there is firstly a three-dimensional reconstruction of an object image from the recorded images in a three-dimensional space. In addition, a three-dimensional reference image in the three-dimensional space is provided in the data-processing unit and has the target values for the test criteria that are to be examined. The image registration to be performed within the scope of the method according to the invention for preparing analysis serves ultimately for the purpose of superposing the object image and the reference image, i.e. to bring them into the best-possible match (transformation). The superposed images are analysed by comparing the image information of each object image representing the test criterion with the image information of the reference image representing the test criterion.

Abstract
Hollow bodies which are closed on one side and which are cylindrical are sorted by a sorting device. The hollow bodies have an end-side opening, a base surface situated opposite the opening and a shell surface extending between the base surface and the opening. The sorting device includes first nozzles arranged on an upper guide for conducting a first fluid flow in the direction of a lateral guide, and second nozzles arranged on a lower guide for conducting a second fluid flow in the direction of an outlet. Since the force of the fluid flow is several times greater if the fluid flow strikes a part of the shell surface of the hollow body through the end-side opening of the hollow body than if the fluid flow strikes the base surface of the hollow body from the outside, sorting of the hollow bodies is made possible.

Abstract
The invention relates to a device and to a method for checking hollow bodies, which are rotationally symmetrical about a rotation axis and have a mouth, during the separate continuous overhead transportation of the hollow bodies in a conveying direction along a conveying path. A two-track overhead conveying device allows the hollow bodies to be set into a continuous rotational movement about their rotation axis in addition to the translatory movement in the conveying direction during checking. On account of the rotation, the cameras of the checking device, which cameras are provided along the conveying path, can record numerous views of the pre-form from all sides. The adjustable relative speed between the two belts and the resulting rotational movement of the hollow bodies also has the effect that a lateral guide is required only on one side of the two-track overhead conveying device. The lateral guide which is required only on one side does not have an adverse effect on recording from all sides on account of the continuous rotation.

Since the force of the fluid flow is several times greater if the fluid flow strikes a part of the shell surface (3c) of the hollow body through the end-side opening (3a) of the hollow body than if the fluid flow strikes the base surface of the hollow body from the outside, sorting of the hollow bodies is made possible.

Abstract
A method and a device for testing for the presence of micro-holes or microcracks in a bottom surface of test objects includes an upper electrode arranged above a transport level and a lower electrode arranged below the transport level. The magnitude of a test voltage generated by two voltage sources connected in series is controlled at the electrodes so that the test voltage is greater than or equal to the breakdown voltage between the electrodes in air, and smaller than the breakdown voltage through a test object without holes or cracks. The test voltage is controlled temporally and synchronously with the movement of the test objects, so that the test voltage is only applied when one of the test objects is located between the electrodes. A hole or crack is recognized by a breakdown to the discharge path between the electrodes.
