The invention relates to a compact device (1), that can be easily integrated into the system environment of an injection moulding machine, for optically checking objects, wherein the objects to be checked move from the top edge (3.1) to the lower edge (3.2) on an inclined panel (3). The viewing angle of multiple image-recording units (6) capture the entire width of the panel and synchronously record multiple respective digital images of the objects moving on the panel. Ejection fingers (4), which can be pivoted individually by a separate drive, are arranged in parallel next to one another on the lower edge of the panel. A processing unit (7) of the device is programmed to identify all objects fully displayed in the images, to check each identified object for at least one feature, to track said object and to calculate at what time and in which rotational position each identified object reaches a position in the region of the ejection fingers, wherein, depending on this calculation and the result of the test, the drive of at least one ejection finger is actuated in a targeted manner in order to eject the identified object.

Abstract

Abstract

A separating device of an optical testing unit for testing rotationally symmetrical test objects includes two corresponding pocket wheels, each having a plurality of pockets distributed uniformly over a circumference. The pocket wheels rotate synchronously in opposite directions about parallel axes in response to a drive. A continuous conveyor transports the test objects on a transporting plane. Depending on the geometry of the test objects, the distances between the respective pocket wheels and between the pocket wheels and the transporting plane are determined so that the test objects, which are fed via and accumulating section, are moved between the pocket wheels while being guided by two pockets of the two pocket wheels and are released by the two pockets downstream of an engagement section. Once released the test objects are accelerated to a higher transporting speed in an accelerating section of the continuous conveyor and are separated as a result.

The invention relates to a device for sorting and transporting at least two types of objects, for example container closures with different diameters, comprising a continuous conveyor with a conveyor belt which runs in a conveying direction. Abstract

In order to create a separating device of an optical testing unit for rotationally symmetrical test objects where damage to test objects is largely avoided, it is proposed that, for separating purposes, two corresponding pocket wheels (3.1, 3.2) having a plurality of pockets (3.4) distributed uniformly over the circumference should be provided, said pocket wheels being made to rotate synchronously in opposite directions about parallel axes by means of a drive. The invention relates to a test performed in a test chamber which lies within the detection range of a plurality of digital image-recording devices and is free from additional fittings. The test objects are moved through the test chamber in a separated and non-guided manner, and at the same time are recorded by the digital image-recording devices. In a data-processing unit there is firstly a three-dimensional reconstruction of an object image from the recorded images in a three-dimensional space. In addition, a three-dimensional reference image in the three-dimensional space is provided in the data-processing unit and has the target values for the test criteria that are to be examined. The image registration to be performed within the scope of the method according to the invention for preparing analysis serves ultimately for the purpose of superposing the object image and the reference image, i.e. to bring them into the best-possible match (transformation). The superposed images are analysed by comparing the image information of each object image representing the test criterion with the image information of the reference image representing the test criterion.

The invention relates to a device and to a method for checking hollow bodies, which are rotationally symmetrical about a rotation axis and have a mouth, during the separate continuous overhead transportation of the hollow bodies in a conveying direction along a conveying path. A two-track overhead conveying device allows the hollow bodies to be set into a continuous rotational movement about their rotation axis in addition to the translatory movement in the conveying direction during checking. On account of the rotation, the cameras of the checking device, which cameras are provided along the conveying path, can record numerous views of the pre-form from all sides. The adjustable relative speed between the two belts and the resulting rotational movement of the hollow bodies also has the effect that a lateral guide is required only on one side of the two-track overhead conveying device. The lateral guide which is required only on one side does not have an adverse effect on recording from all sides on account of the continuous rotation.

The magnitude of a test voltage generated by two voltage sources connected in series is controlled at the electrodes so that the test voltage is greater than or equal to the breakdown voltage between the electrodes in air, and smaller than the breakdown voltage through a test object without holes or cracks. The test voltage is controlled temporally and synchronously with the movement of the test objects, so that the test voltage is only applied when one of the test objects is located between the electrodes. A hole or crack is recognized by a breakdown to the discharge path between the electrodes.
