Abstract

The invention relates to a winding aid (6, 7) for a strip coiler (11, 12) for a metal strip, designed in particular to press a hot rolled magnesium strip (2) at temperatures of between 300 °C and 450 °C against the strip coiler (11, 12). In the winding position, the pressure rollers (18, 19, 20, 21) can be pressed directly against the strip coiler (11, 12) or the wound metal strip in such a way that the metal strip can be wound and/or unwound without slippage.
