MEASURING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF A MEASUREMENT VALUE ON AN OBJECT
A measuring apparatus and a method for determination of a measurement value of an object are disclosed. A sensor unit, produces one sensor signal respectively in different measuring positions along a positioning direction for multiple measurement points on an object, wherein the sensor signal describes the position of the measurement point. A positioning device positions the sensor unit and the object in the different measuring positions relative to one another in a positioning direction. The positioning or relative movement in the positioning direction is influenced by a periodic position deviation of the positioning device, which influences the detected sensor signals of the measurement points. A positioning characteristic describing the wavelength and/or the period of the periodic position deviation is determined. By means of the positioning characteristic, the sensor signals obtained for multiple measurement points in different measuring positions can be corrected to obtain the measurement value for the respective measurement point therefrom.
The invention relates to a method for determining a position error in a device (20), in particular a measurement instrument (21), that comprises a stator (23), a rotor (24) and a rolling bearing unit (25) arranged therebetween. For calibration purposes, a standard (30) is arranged on the rotor (24) and moved in a movement direction (B), for example rotated about an axis of rotation (D). Measured values of the standard (30) are measured in various positions of the standard (30) in the movement direction (B), by means of a first sensor (31). A second sensor (37) measures at least one position of the rolling bearing unit (25) in the movement direction (B). Based on this measured rolling bearing position, a rolling bearing position is assigned to each measured value for each position of the standard (30) in the movement direction (B), and the position error (F) and optionally a correction rule (K) are determined on the basis thereof.

The invention relates to a holding apparatus for an optical measurement device. The holding apparatus has two holding units for two preferably telecentric optics units of the measurement device. Each holding unit has a first bearing device and a second bearing device. The two bearing devices are arranged at a distance from one another in the direction of an optical axis of the optics unit. A three-point bearing by three bearing elements for the associated optics unit is provided on each bearing device. At least two of the bearing elements can be positioned along a relevant adjustment axis. The adjustment axes extend substantially at right angles to the relevant optical axis. The optics unit can thus be displaced in a plane spanned by the adjustment axes and can be inclined or tilted on account of the two bearing devices distanced from one another.

An inductive rotary transmitter includes a rotor and a stator, which form a rotary transmitter. A rotor winding is arranged on the rotor, and a stator winding is arranged on the stator. Apart from the rotor winding, the rotor does not have any ferromagnetic or soft-magnetic material parts for inductive coupling to the stator or the stator winding. The annularly closed magnetic field lines for inductive coupling are formed on the stator side via the stator winding and a plurality of separate stator elements, which are produced from ferromagnetic or soft-magnetic material. The stator elements overlap both the rotor winding and the stator winding at a respective mounting point of the stator element and direct the magnetic field lines (M) around the rotor winding and around the stator winding to effect a magnetic coupling.

Contour meter and method for measuring the contour of a workpiece having tangentially adjoining contour geometries
A workpiece contour (13) at least first and second contour geometries (K1-K2) adjoining one another tangentially at a first transition point (U1). Measurement points (M) are recorded along the geometries (K1-K2). Using some measurement points within the first geometry (K1), a first replacement element (G1) is determined and assigned to the first geometry (K1). Analogously, using some measurement points (M) of the second geometry (K2) a second geometry element (G2) assigned to the latter is determined. The size and/or the position of the second geometry element (G2) are calculated under the boundary condition that the second replacement element (G2) adjoins the first replacement element (G1) tangentially. The tangential transition point between the two replacement elements (G1), (G2) forms the first transition point (U1). This method can be iterated using additional or other measurement points (M), until the first transition point (U1) is determined with sufficient accuracy.

Contour standard having a rotationally symmetrical calibration region, use of the standard and method for calibrating and/or monitoring a contour measuring instrument
The invention is a contour standard, which consists of a body having a rotationally symmetrical calibration region. The rotationally symmetrical calibration region encompasses a plurality of non-cylindrical axial sections, which can be concave, convex, by forming a predefined angle as radial projection or as radial depression. The calibration region has at least one measuring section, which runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body and which provides for axial calibration variables, as well as radial calibration variables. These calibration variables are compared with the sensed values to the calibration of a measuring instrument and the measuring instrument is adjusted based on the basis of the determined deviation. Due to the rotationally symmetrical calibration region, the contour standard is suitable both for the calibration of touch contour measuring instruments and also for the calibration of contour measuring instruments, which measure optically.

CONTOUR METER AND METHOD FOR MEASURING THE CONTOUR OF A WORKPIECE HAVING TANGENTIALLY ADJOINING CONTOUR GEOMETRIES
The invention relates to a contour meter (10) and also to a method for measuring a workpiece contour (13). The workpiece contour (13) has a plurality of contour geometries (k). At least a first contour geometry (K1) and a second contour geometry (K2) adjoin one another tangentially at a first transition point (U1). Firstly, a multiplicity of measurement points (M) are recorded along the first contour geometry (K1) and the second contour geometry (K2). On the basis of some of the measurement points within the first contour geometry (K1), a first replacement element (G1) is determined and assigned to the first contour geometry (K1). Analogously to this, on the basis of some measurement points (M) of the second contour geometry (K2) a second geometry element (G2) assigned to the latter is determined. The size and/or the position of the second geometry element (G2) are calculated here under the boundary condition that the second replacement element (G2) adjoins the first replacement element (G1) tangentially. The tangential transition point between the two replacement elements (G1), (G2) forms the thus determined first transition point (U1). This method can be repeated iteratively with the aid of additional or other measurement points (M), until the position of the first transition point (U1) has been determined with sufficient accuracy.

CONTOUR GAGE HAVING A ROTATIONALLY SYMMETRICAL CALIBRATION REGION, USE OF THE GAGE AND METHOD FOR CALIBRATING AND/OR MONITORING A CONTOUR MEASURING INSTRUMENT
The invention relates to a contour gage (10) which comprises a body (11) having a rotationally symmetrical calibration region (14). The rotationally symmetrical calibration region (14) has a plurality of non-cylindrical axial sections (17), which can be formed concavely or convexly as a radial protrusion (22) or as a radial depression (23), enclosing a predefined angle. Provided along the calibration region (14) is at least one measuring section (28) extending parallel to the longitudinal axis L of the body (11), which predefines both axial calibration variables Ii (i=1 to n) and radial calibration variables a, b. The values of said calibration variables a, b, Ii can be compared with the values sensed during calibration of the measuring instrument, and the measuring instrument can be adjusted on the basis of the deviations detected. The rotationally symmetrical calibration region (14) makes the contour gage (10) suitable both for the calibration of touch contour measuring instruments and also for the calibration of contour measuring instruments that measure optically.

MEASURING DEVICE WITH TRANSMISSION CIRCUIT FOR WIRELESSLY TRANSMITTING A MEASURED-VALUE TRANSMISSION SIGNAL
The invention relates to a measuring device (10) in the form of a dial gauge, a vernier or a micrometer screw gauge. The measuring device (10) has a housing (11) which contains a measuring circuit (14), a transmission circuit and a reception circuit on a shared printed circuit board (22). The transmission circuit (19) and the reception circuit use a shared printed circuit board antenna (21) which is likewise provided on the printed circuit board (22). In addition, the printed circuit board (22) holds a power supply circuit (30) for supplying power to the measuring circuit (14), the transmission circuit and the reception circuit. It is therefore possible to dispense with an interface between the measuring circuit and the transmission circuit or the reception circuit that is accessible from outside the housing (11). The shared power supply circuit (30) reduces the installation space for the overall circuit arrangement. The housing (11) of the measuring device (10) can easily be sealed and therefore produced with the necessary housing protection design. A sensor (12) on the housing (11) is used to record a measured value, which is converted into an electrical measurement signal by the measuring circuit (14) and transmitted wirelessly to an external device (20) by means of the transmission circuit.
The invention relates to a method for ascertaining the position of an edge in an object surface region of interest by optical scanning. For this purpose, the reflectivity of the object surface region is evaluated. Light is emitted onto the object surface region under different illumination conditions, in particular different light incidence directions, and in each illumination condition a sequence S1 to Sn of camera images B is recorded. Each camera image B of a sequence S1 to Sn is recorded at another illumination intensity I. Subsequently in each case one reflectivity image R1 to Rn is produced from a plurality of or from all camera images B of a sequence S1 to Sn. Thereafter, a resulting reflectivity image E is produced from a plurality of or from all reflectivity images R1 to Rn by weighted addition, in which resulting reflectivity image E the position of an edge in or on the object surface region of interest is determined with subpixel accuracy by applying at least one edge location criterion.
The invention relates to a measuring device and to a measuring method for determining an absolute distance value between a probe (12) and an object surface (13). To this end, the distance value (d) is determined in punctiform manner in the region of the optical axis (14) of the probe (12). The measuring device comprises a light source (15) that emits short coherent light. In a measuring light path (M), the light is directed through the probe (12) onto the object surface (13) and the light reflected there is received again. Another part of the light of the light source (15) passes through a reference light path to a reference surface area (27) and returns from there. The light reflected on the reference surface area (27) and the object surface (13) is fed to an interferometer (30), where it is divided into a first light path (L1) and a second light path (L2). The two light paths (L1), (L2) have different lengths and compensate for the difference between the reference light path (R) and measuring light path (M). The first interferometer mirror (33) present in the first light path (L1) oscillates in the direction of the optical axis (40) of the first light path (L1). The light from the two light paths (L1), (L2) is superimposed and as a result of the oscillation of the first interferometer mirror (33), interference patterns form in the superimposed light, which are detected by a photosensor (35). The distance value (d) is determined in an evaluation device (37) that is connected to the photosensor (35).
The invention relates to a measuring device (10) for measuring a surface profile of a workpiece and to a corresponding measuring method. During measurement, a measuring slide (15) is moved in a moving direction (x) in a linear manner and at a distance from the workpiece surface such that the probe tip (25) which is arranged at the slide is not accelerated by the movement of the measuring slide (15). The free end (40) of the probe tip (25) rests on the workpiece surface (11) with a measuring force (Fm) and is deviated during measurement in a measuring direction (z) transverse to the moving direction (x) such that a path-dependent deviation (zT) of the probe end (40) is caused by the surface profile. A measuring sensor (45) detects a deviation variable (s) which describes the deviation of the probe end (40) in the measuring direction (z). In an analysis unit (21) a measuring force alteration variable is generated which is dependent on the deviation variable (s), the measuring force alteration variable describing the alteration of the measuring force (Fm) between the probe end (40) and the workpiece surface (11). On the basis of the measuring force alteration variable it is possible to detect measuring errors or measuring inaccuracies.

DEVICE FOR MEASURING SCREW ELEMENT AT PIPE END, SYSTEM FOR MEASURING SCREW ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR MEASURING SCREW ELEMENT
A first screw element is measured by detecting light which is substantially parallel with a screw groove (A4) among lights leaked to the side opposite to a light source (21) with respect to the axis of pipe with use of an optical sensor (2). A second screw element is measured by touching the contact probe (31) of a contact sensor (3) to the flank face (A8) of a screw and detecting the spatial coordinate of the contact probe (31) at the time of contact. The first and second screw elements thus detected are synthesized by an operation processing means (4) and a screw element of a measurement object screw is operated.

SCANNING ARM WITH SANDWICH DESIGN AND METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION
Reference is made to a sandwich design for the production of scanning arms (6), and a preferably stiff covering element (22, 23) is placed on either side of a central, resilient foil (21) for this purpose. At least one of the covering elements (22, 23) can have at least locally defined magnetic properties in order to cooperate, for example, with a sensor coil (11). The covering elements (22, 23) run substantially flush with the contours of the foil (21), except for small, preferably slot-like cutouts (32 to 35) where the foil (21) is exposed in order to form spring hinges.
The Linnik interferometer (4) according to the invention comprises a central beam splitter arrangement (24) constructed such that at least the observation unit (15), the illumination unit (20), and a unit (14) comprising a lens (8) and the reference mirror (10) are disposed on the same side of the measurement head, which opens the way to integrating the Linnik interferometer into a measuring machine. The invention results in a robust and space-saving arrangement that is not sensitive to vibrations.
In order to measure tools (2), particularly the cutting edges (3, 4, 5) thereof, the tool is recorded with a camera having a focus plane (14) and low depth of field. While the tool is rotated, images are recorded from which the data for the cutting edge are then extracted.

An optical microprobe for common-path interferometers uses micro-optical components and utilizes a light exit surface (11) curved parallel to the optical spherical wave passing through it in order to generate a defined reference beam with an unambiguous phase angle of sufficient intensity and negligible dispersion difference relative to the measurement beam. As an alternative, the light exit surface can be situated so close to the object that as a result of lack of parallelism with respect to the wavefront passing through it, the disturbances brought about remain below a given limit value.
According to the invention, a planar measuring X-Y measuring system is combined with a high resolution Z-scanning white light interferometer for the measurement of complex 3D objects, such as micro-drills. The imaging measuring system is used as a monitor system for the white light interferometer. A planar Z height scan of the white light interferometer is carried out without any mechanical movement of the axes of the coordinate measuring device. The X, Y, Z measuring values have a resolution higher than one micrometer in the X and Y directions, and a resolution of much higher than one micrometer in the Z direction. The Z height measurement values of the white light interferometer are utilized exclusively for the spatial angular measurement.
For a measuring machine (1) comprising two or more sensors, it is proposed to support the sensors (8, 9) on carriages (14, 15), which are disposed on a common guide (11) and displaceable independently from each other. The carriages (14, 15) are positioned via a common measuring system (27), so that the relative position of the carriages to each other and the absolute position of the sensors can be determined in the coordinate measuring device (1) with great precision. The position of the sensors no longer depends on the production accuracy of a mechanical replaceable system, but is actively determined.

CONTACT STYLUS MEASURING DEVICE WITH PROBE MAGAZINE FOR SURFACE AND CONTOUR MEASUREMENTS
The invention relates to a contact stylus measuring device, which is equipped particularly for the measurement of surfaces and contours of objects, comprising a contact stylus instrument and a magazine, which is equipped to automatically apply and remove sensing arms to and from the relevant contact points of the contact stylus instrument.
G01B 21/04 - Measuring arrangements or details thereof, where the measuring technique is not covered by the other groups of this subclass, unspecified or not relevant for measuring length, width, or thickness by measuring coordinates of points
For carrying out 3D measurements, the invention proposes the combination of a rotary table (11) for receiving an object (2) and a scanning device (3) for scanning the surface of the object (2). The object surface is scanned in at least two different rotation positions of the object (2). Preferably, scanning lines are chosen which run both radially to the axis of rotation (12) of the rotary table (11) and also in the peripheral direction with respect to the axis of rotation (12). These scans can be carried out separately one after the other as radial, linear scans and as circular scans, and also simultaneously as spiral scans. In each case, measured values are obtained, from which the spatial form of the object surface is obtained with higher precision and in a shorter measuring time.
In a roughness scanner comprising a scanning arm with a scanning needle mounted at one end thereof, a skid carrier having an end supporting a skid with the scanning arm extending along the skid carrier in spaced relationship therefrom, the skid has at one side a guide late including an opening through which the scanning needle extends and a space formed above the guide plate which space is open at least at one side thereof down to the guide plate, so that any liquid collected by the needle and moving upward into the space above the guide late can flow again out of that space.
In a measurement system with an optical image acquisition system and relative motion between measurement object and image acquisition system, the focal point (F) of the image acquisition system (3) is allowed to oscillate in the scan direction, in order to create, by superposition of the oscillatory motion of the focal point on the scanning motion, image acquisition intervals during which the focal point (F) rests on the surface of the measurement object (2), or correspondingly the image projected on to the camera chip rests on the camera chip. This occurs preferably under uniform unaccelerated relative motion between measurement object and image acquisition system. A lack of edge-sharpness of the images is avoided in spite of relatively long illumination times and moderate illumination intensities.
A height measuring device (1) has a measuring column (3) on which a vertically displaceable measuring slide (4) is mounted such that it can be moved both manually and using a drive motor (14) by means of a coupling device (15). The measuring slide (4) has a measuring probe (8) which exerts a constant measuring force, which is generated by the drive motor (14) and the coupling device (15), on the measuring point on the workpiece. A measuring system (19) records the height coordinates of the measuring probe (8) and transfers them to a control device (21) for further processing and evaluation. The control device (21) has a logic unit (33) for automating the measurement sequence. Said logic unit automatically detects positioning of the measuring probe (8), which is carried out manually by the user, in a particular direction, then drives the drive motor (14) in a suitable manner in order to scan the workpiece, and uses the signals from the measuring system (19) to determine the measured value or values relevant to the respective measurement. The control device (21) may be set up to detect, in a fully automatic manner, the operator's wish to measure either on a plane or in a bore or on a shaft in one direction or in the opposite direction, in order to independently initiate the desired measuring function.

DEVICE FOR COMBINED INTERFEROMETRY AND IMAGE-BASED DETERMINATION OF GEOMETRY, ESPECIALLY FOR USE IN MICROSYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY, AND METHOD FOR THE USE THEREOF
The invention relates to a device which comprises a lens (8) that can be operated in at least two different measuring modes. A test object (9) is subjected to an interference optical measurement in a first interference mode. In a second imaging measuring mode an optical image is produced on a detector array (12) configured, for example, in a camera-type manner, and said image is supplied to an image processing routine. A changeover from one measuring mode to the other is brought about by switching the pieces of illumination equipment which are connected at different sections to the course of the beam of the device – from the camera point of view, one in front of the beam splitter, and the other one behind the beam splitter, couple the reference light path and the course of the beam.
In the measurement method according to the invention, a 3D geometry detection of object surfaces is achieved by means of undersampling (contrary to the sampling theorem) in that at least one of the two light bundles (reference light bundle (16) and measurement light bundle (15)), brought to superposition in an interferometer (5), is separated into two components S and P, on the basis of which different interference images (S interference image and P interference image) are produced on two cameras (9, 10). The components are preferably 180° phase shifted with respect to one another. A differential image is produced from the two interference images of the cameras. When using short-coherent light, the pixels of the differential image have a brightness which is different from zero only in that Z region for which the difference between reference light path and measurement light path is less than the coherence length. As a function of the Z coordinate, the viewed pixel of the differential image has a strongly fluctuating brightness variation, wherein the envelope curve or also the standard deviation follows a Gaussian bell curve. The curve maximum sets the Z measurement value for the surface point with which the viewed pixel of the differential image is associated. The method is robust, quick and accurate.

Abstract
In the measurement method according to the invention, the exact measurement value is determined in a plurality of stages, wherein methods of white light interferometry are combined with phase measurement. The phase measurement is preferably effected in two stages, wherein operation takes place at first with a relatively large unambiguity area and low measurement accuracy on the basis of a synthetic wavelength (lambda) and then with the true light wavelength. The first and the second interferometer beam paths are each terminated by a mirror, with one of the two mirrors having an oblique position in order to produce an interference stripe pattern on an optical sensor. The result is a robust measurement method with a large measurement range and resolution in the nanometre range.
