Abstract
A fall arrest device comprises a guide for a track member which, in use, passes through the device, a cam member including a cam portion, and a clutch responsive to at least one of the relative speed and relative acceleration of the fall arrest device and the track member. The clutch serves to determine when the relative speed and/or acceleration is at least a predetermined value. The clutch includes a trigger arm connecting to the cam member so as to move the cam portion of the cam member toward the guide so as to lock the track member between the cam member and the guide when at least the predetermined value is attained.

Abstract
A cable traveler is provided. The cable traveler includes a housing, a main assembly and an anti-inversion pawl. The housing forms at least one cable guide passage. The main assembly is pivotally coupled to the housing. The main assembly is configured and arranged to have an open configuration that allows a cable to be positioned within the at least one cable guide passage and a closed configuration that engages the cable in the at least one cable guide passage. The anti-inversion pawl is configured and arranged to selectively restrict movement of the main assembly when the housing is in an inverted orientation.

Abstract
A fastening arrangement includes a threaded fastener (5) including a head (11), a shank (9) and a laterally expandable member (17). A bridging member (7) is provided on the shank of the fastener, the bridging member having an aperture through which the shank passes. The aperture has a dimension greater than the dimension of the shank (9) but less than the dimension of the head (11), and an outer dimension greater than a dimension of the laterally expandable member (17) in a first configuration but less than the dimension of the laterally expandable member in a second configuration.

Abstract
A safety anchor includes first and second spaced support components (3, 5) and an energy absorbing wire (17). The first and second spaced support components (3, 5) are each secured to a support plate (1 ) extending between the support components in such a way that the support plate and at least one of the support components are separable in the event of a load in excess of a predetermined threshold being applied to the safety anchor. The energy absorbing wire (17) extends between the first and second support components, the extent of the wire being greater than the spacing between the support components. The wire (17) is adapted to deform and absorb the energy of a fall when the support plate and at least one of the support components have been separated.
