Abstract

The invention relates to the field of automatic firearms and in particular to automatic weapon of machine gun type that is able to work with cartridges with extraction groove, the extraction of the cartridge from the belt link and the feeding of cartridge into the barrel is done at two steps and it is performed under very small angle and is more smooth. The automatic weapon includes a feed tray (5) for guiding the movement of the cartridge belt (6) as there is a socket for the cartridge extracted from the belt (6) on the feed tray (5) and the size of this socket is conformable to the biggest size of the cartridge, a first mechanism for cartridge extraction from the belt, a second mechanism for lowering the cartridge, as well as the weapon also includes at least one mechanism (9, 10) for cartridge fixing to the feed tray (5) before the cartridge extraction from the belt (6), which mechanism is located in the place of cartridge extraction from the belt.
