Abstract

A two-way welding gun includes a first welding tip or a second welding tip selected to be used depending on the shape of the flange of a vehicle body panel, which is an object for the spot welding, so that flanges of first vehicle body panels each including a shape matching the first welding tip are easily spot welded to each other using the first welding tip, and flanges of second vehicle body panels each including a shape different from the first welding tip but matching the second welding tip are easily spot welded to each other using the second welding tip.

A resistance spot welding control system and a method therefor are disclosed. A system for welding parameter regulations of a resistance spot welding machine that bonds a plurality of panels, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: an ultrasonic sensor, which is provided on an electrode of a welding gun, irradiates a welding part of panels with an ultrasonic wave, and measures a reflected ultrasonic signal; an ultrasonic analyzer, which analyzes the ultrasonic signal in real time so as to generate ultrasonic analysis information; and a welding controller, which receives the ultrasonic analysis information from the ultrasonic analyzer, performs adaptive welding control with welding parameters set on the basis of information of the panels, and compensates, in real time, one or more welding parameters according to the received ultrasonic analysis information.
