Abstract

The invention relates to a device and a method for the continuous decomposition of starch by means of a reaction container (2) for producing enzymatically decomposed starch paste, a first transport section (4, 7, 21, 22) for a volumetric flow of the starch paste having at least one pump (5) and an inactivation device (6) for heating the starch paste to the inactivation temperature of the enzymes. The invention is characterised in that the first transport section (4, 7, 21, 22) provides a circuit of the starch paste between the reaction container (2), pump (5) and inactivation device (6) and a second transport section (23) is provided, by means of which at least one part-stream of the starch paste is transferred from the first transport section (4, 7, 21, 22) downstream of the inactivation device (6) into a storage container (11) or for further processing.

Abstract

The invention relates to a device and a method for filtering a size solution or coating color into an accepted material and a reject by means of a main circuit for feeding the size solution or coating color to a consumer and a secondary circuit. The main circuit has a working vessel, a first filter, and the subsequent consumer for the size solution or coating color. The invention is characterized in that the reject of the first filter is returned to the working vessel, the secondary circuit has a drawing point from the working vessel, a second filter, and a return for the accepted material from the second filter into the working vessel, and the reject from the second filter is discarded.

Abstract

The invention describes a method for the continuous production of enzymatically degraded starch paste, wherein a starch suspension and at least at times an enzyme are fed to a reaction vessel and from there a starch paste, which is degraded at the same time, is continuously removed. To this end, a highly turbulent state is generated in the reaction vessel, the state resulting in a high mixing rate of the enzyme and starch suspension. Furthermore, the invention relates to a system for performing the method according to the invention for the continuous production of enzymatically degraded starch paste.
