Abstract

The present disclosure provides a display driving IC and a display module comprising the display driving IC. The display driving IC includes: a plurality of metal bumps arranged along a first boundary; and a data processing circuit for receiving multiple display data. The data processing circuit divides the plurality of chip signal channels into multiple groups of chip signal channels, employs an opposite connection state to connect to corresponding groups of panel signal channels, and controls the filling sequence of the display data based on the connection state. Through this design, the present disclosure achieves a slim bezel effect while avoiding the metal layer resource consumption problems associated with traditional lower bump schemes, and simplifies part number management through a standardized bump structure and configuration, thereby improving production efficiency.

Abstract

A driving circuit and operation method for reducing power consumption of the driving circuit are provided. The proposed driving circuit is operable to drive a display panel and comprises at least one operational amplifier. An input voltage of the operational amplifier is examined and determined such that a first operation voltage and a second operation voltage of the operational amplifier can be provided. Since the first and second operation voltages of the operational amplifier are adjustable and can be decided associated with its input voltage, the operational amplifier is able to operate in an adaptive voltage range between the first and second operation voltages. As a result, power consumption reduction of the driving circuit can be achieved. As such, it is believed that the present invention is significantly effective in realizing power efficiency optimization result of a driving circuit when it is applied to drive a display panel device.

Abstract

The disclosure describes a display control circuit for detecting noise interference and a control method thereof. The display control circuit includes a display driver and a timing controller. The timing controller is coupled to the display driver. In the control method, the display driver sets an asynchronization signal which indicates that the timing controller is desynchronized from the display driver. The display driver performs a noise interference mode when the display driver or the timing controller determines that the time duration of the asynchronization signal is less than a given time duration. The display driver performs a crash reset mode after the noise interference mode is performed when the display driver or the timing controller determines that the time duration of the asynchronization signal is equal to or greater than the given time duration.

Abstract

A method for generating overdriving voltage based on temperature of panel is disclosed. The method includes the following steps. A built-in temperature detector of a controller senses temperature of the panel to generate a sensing temperature value. Alternatively, the controller calculates a sensing temperature value, according to lookup information and raw data. The raw data is obtained according to touch sensing signals output from multiple touch sensors. Then, the controller generates an overdriving voltage, according to the sensing temperature value and another lookup information. The controller outputs the overdriving voltage to the pixel circuit.

Abstract

A display driving circuit structure with spike reduction is provided, comprising an operational amplifier circuit, a switching element and an output inductor. The operational amplifier circuit includes a first terminal receiving an input signal and an inverting terminal. The switching element has a first end electrically connected with the operational amplifier circuit and a second end opposite to the first end. The output inductor is electrically connected between the second end of the switching element and an output node, where an output signal is generated and provided. By employing the generated output signal to drive a display panel, the spike voltage of the output signal can be significantly reduced, and as a result, the operating temperature of the display panel can be effectively reduced by at least 4° C. It is believed that the present invention is beneficial to maintaining both low complexity and process cost of the driver ICs.

Abstract

The disclosure provides a display device, a display driving device, and an operation method thereof. The display device includes a host, a display panel, and the display driving device. In a multi-area multi-frame-rate mode, the host transmits partial frame image data to the display driving device in each of frame periods until the multi-area multi-frame-rate mode ends. In the multi-area multi-frame-rate mode, the display driving device selectively feeds back an additional area refresh request to the host. In the multi-area multi-frame-rate mode, in response to the additional area refresh request, the host transmits at least one additional display area image data to the display driving device in addition to transmitting the partial frame image data during at least one corresponding frame period corresponding to the additional area refresh request.

Abstract

Disclosed are a display device, a display driving circuit thereof, and an operating method thereof. The display device includes a power management circuit and a display driving circuit. The display driving circuit converts a power voltage provided by the power management circuit into a first boundary voltage and a second boundary voltage, and generates multiple gamma voltages based on the first boundary voltage and the second boundary voltage. When a system condition transitions from a normal state to a specified state, the first boundary voltage transitions to a specified boundary level, and the power voltage transitions to a specified power level. When the system condition returns from the specified state to the normal state, the first boundary voltage returns to a normal boundary level, and the power voltage returns to a normal power level.
