The invention relates to an installation for toilets (2) installed in a building and comprising, for each of the toilets (2), firstly a separator device (20) for separating liquid effluent and solid waste, and secondly a transfer device (20) for moving solid waste into a descent tube (21), the descent tube (21) having a plurality of through openings (22) communicating with a plurality of transfer devices belonging to toilets installed on storeys of the building, and enabling solid waste to be taken by gravity to a treatment device positioned at the bottom of the building.

The facility comprises a device (35) for conveying the composting medium in the form of a continuous bed of material of predetermined thickness and for a duration suitable for obtaining the composted medium, the conveying device (35) comprising at least one support surface (36) for the bed, positioned flush with the upper part of the receiving system and extending to a discharge edge (37) for the composted medium falling from said support surface.

Abstract

The invention relates to a toilet facility having a receiving system (21) for carrying out the gravity-separation of liquid effluent and solid waste from the toilet facility and a device for positioning storage containers (31) such that one container is positioned flush with the upper part of the receiving system (21) and such that at least another container (31) filled with waste is positioned outside the receiving system. The facility has a system for wetting each filled container, and the positioning device comprises a system for confining each filled container in order to prevent the introduction therein of solid waste that is more recent than that present in said container.
