Abstract

Wood cutting and chopping machine including a directly-accessible cutting section (4) and including a motorized blade (7) displaceable between an inoperative raised position and a lowered cutting position, and a chopping section (5) arranged downstream of the cutting section (4) and including a chopping wedge (10) and a pusher device (11). First control means (15, 18) are provided to operate the lowering of the cutting blade (7) and activation thereof, and second control means (31) are provided to operate the advance and retreat of the pusher device (11). At least the first control means (15, 18) require the simultaneous operation of both hands of the operator, and disabling means are provided (35, 36; 16, 17) to block the operation of the second control means (31) when the first control means (15, 18) are operated, and to block the operation of the first control means (15, 18) when the second control means (31) are operated.
