Abstract
This manufacturing method for an optical connector includes: a first step for inserting and affixing a multi-core fiber, in which an outer peripheral core is formed in a spiral shape, into a ferrule; a second step for inserting the ferrule into a housing and performing alignment between the housing and the outer peripheral core around the center axis of the multi-core fiber; and a third step for obliquely polishing the ferrule such that the width of a reference surface, which is an end surface of the ferrule and is perpendicular to the center axis direction of the multi-core fiber, is a predefined width.

Abstract
This method of manufacturing an optical connector comprises: a first step of inserting and fixing a multi-core fiber, of which an outer peripheral core is formed in a spiral shape, to a ferrule; a second step of inserting the ferrule into a housing and positioning the outer peripheral core and the housing around a central axis of the multi-core fiber; a third step of obliquely grinding the ferrule in a state in which the housing has been rotated around the central axis of the multi-core fiber so as to have a rotational offset amount φ that can offset an expected misalignment of the core due to the oblique grinding of the ferrule; and a fourth step of positioning the outer peripheral core around the central axis of the multi-core fiber and then fixing the ferrule to the housing.

Abstract
The laser probe (1) comprises an optical fiber (10), a glass rod (20) connected to one end (19) of the optical fiber (10) and having a light propagation region in which the refractive index decreases from the center toward the outer peripheral side in the radial direction, and a resin layer (40) that covers a side surface of the optical fiber (10) on the one end (19) side and a side surface of the glass rod (20) at least on the optical fiber (10) side.

Abstract
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a low-cost optical fiber probe capable of ensuring a wide lateral illumination range for light incident on an optical fiber. Provided is an optical fiber probe (10A) that includes an optical fiber (11), a coreless fiber (12), and a reflective film (13). An end part of the optical fiber (11) and a first end part (121) of the coreless fiber (12) are connected and a second end part (122) of the coreless fiber (12) has the reflective film (13) attached thereto.

Abstract
In a state in which a front end of a single-core fiber is passed through an end surface portion of a reinforcing pipe, an inner surface of the reinforcing pipe and an outer peripheral surface of the single-core fiber are glued together by means of adhesive. By using the same adhesive, an adhesive portion is formed by curing it so as to protrude and taper from the end surface portion of the reinforcing pipe toward the front end of the single-core fiber. Thereafter, a coated optical fiber formed with the adhesive portion is inserted in a ferrule until an end surface portion of the coating of the single-core fiber abuts against the first tapered hole and until the end surface portion of the reinforcing pipe abuts against the second tapered hole. Then, the optical fiber is glued in the ferrule by means of adhesive.
