The invention relates to an ink measuring device for taking measurements on an endless web (10), in particular in printing machines, comprising a rotatable backing roller (22), over the circumferential surface of which the web (10) is guided, and comprising an ink measuring head (20) which is oriented towards the web (10) on the backing roller (22). The invention is characterized in that the circumferential surface of the backing roller (22) is formed by a replaceable cover.
The invention relates to an arrangement for capturing an image of a printing substrate web (14) in a printing machine, comprising a camera (10) that has a sensor field (32) extending parallel to the printing substrate web, and an objective lens (30) whose optical axis (A) runs at right angles to said sensor field (32), and comprising a light source (12) that is arranged relative to the printing substrate web (14) such that the light emitted therefrom is reflected by reflective surface portions of the printing substrate web, mainly into the camera (12). The invention is characterised in that the objective lens (30) is arranged to be offset to the sensor field (32) such that a straight line (B) extending through the centre of the sensor field (32) and the centre of the objective lens (30) and a straight line (C) extending from the centre of the light source (12) to the centre of the light incident on the image field (28) on the printing substrate web (14) each form an angle (β, γ) to the axis of incidence (l), these angles being equal.
Apparatus for monitoring a print result in a rotary printing press, includes a web monitoring system including a matrix camera (20) that is movable in transverse direction over a web printed in the printing press, the matrix camera being adapted to capture an excerpt of the printed image in synchronism with a repeat of the printed image during a print run, an inspection system for a complete inspection of the printed image, the inspection system including a line camera that extends over the entire widths of the web, and an integrated control desk for the web monitoring system and the inspection system.
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for regulating the register of a rotary printing press (18), including a register regulator (17), the components (1, 5; 2, 6; 3, 7; 4, 8; 9, 10) of which are connected in a real-time bus system (12) and are chronologically synchronized therein.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CALIBRATING AN ELECTRONIC CAMERA
The invention relates to a method for calibrating an electronic camera or a sensor, in particular a line camera, in which a series of image points or pixels on the projection plane (P) of the camera can be associated with consecutive numbers and the measurement region which can be detected by the optics of the camera is divided by means of a calibrating part into bright/dark transitions with known spacing between each other, wherein each bright/dark transition is associated with a particular pixel number, the determined bright/dark transitions are evaluated as to which ones of the bright/dark transitions of possibly a plurality of planes are to be associated with an upper and which are to be associated with a lower plane of the calibrating part, and a calculation is carried out as to where a bright/dark transition on the lower plane is to be placed if only the bright/dark transition, which is located perpendicularly above it, on the upper plane can be seen due to skewed observation through the camera.
