A recyclable waterproofing membrane has a bituminous binder with a recycled bituminous binder (RBB), optionally a fresh polymer and optionally fresh bitumen and a reinforcement. The bituminous binder has a rejuvenator selected from the group consisting of bio-based oils and/or mineral oils, such as plant-based, pine-oil based or vegetable-oil-based. The recycled bituminous binder is obtained by grinding and melting waterproofing membranes with bituminous binder, polymers and a reinforcement.
An object of the instant application is to provide a process of recycling a bituminous product such as a waste bituminous membrane product optionally containing reinforcement layers comprising grinding and melting steps.
A process of recycling a bituminous product or a bituminous membrane product contacting reinforcement layers. Collecting the waste bituminous products and sorting it in a series of waste bituminous product batches. At least one grinding step of each batch in each series forms a fine ground batch. The fine ground batch is introduced into a recycling unit wherein the fine ground batch is heated and melted and collected as a melted product. The melted product is fed into a mixing tank having a predetermined volume containing fresh carrier.

A bitumen having the properties of a Newtonian liquid is a mixture of a first oil pitch made of particles of soot and saturated oils and a second oil pitch made of aromatic oils and resins, characterized in that the first oil pitch has saturated oils at a content of at least 10% in wet weight and the second oil pitch has aromatic oils at a content of at least 10% in wet weight.
Method for production of a binder compound wherein crude tall oil pitch is mixed with calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide, and wherein after mixing the crude tall oil pitch with the calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide, the mixture of crude tall oil pitch and calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide is allowed to react and then again further crude tall oil pitch and a polymer are added to the reacted mixture in order to obtain a base substance for the production of a roof covering membrane, a road surfacing material or a carpet backing.
