Abstract

Zero suckback devices for a disposable high-speed turbine dental drill handpiece, mounted at two ends of a handpiece head body (1). The zero suckback device, provided at one end of the handpiece head body (1) where a bur (3) is mounted, consists of an elastic shaft enclosure (7) and a non-elastic shaft enclosure (6); a hard material center skeleton (8) is embedded at the center of the elastic shaft enclosure (7), and the lip part of the elastic shaft enclosure (7) matches the tapered end part of a rotor shaft (20). The zero suckback device, provided at one side of the handpiece head cover body (2) of the handpiece head body (1), comprises an O-shaped sealing ring (14) provided between a button cover body (15) and the handpiece head cover body (2), and a one-way ball valve provided at the center of the button cover body (2).

Abstract

Zero suckback devices for a high-speed turbine dental drill handpiece, mounted at two ends of a handpiece head body (1). The device, at one side of the handpiece head body (1) where a bur (3) is mounted, consists of an elastic shaft enclosure (17) with a center being embedded with a metal center skeleton and a non-elastic shaft enclosure (15), and the lip part of the elastic shaft enclosure (17) matches a rotor shaft with a tapered end part. The device, at one side of the handpiece head cover (2) of the handpiece head body, is provided with an O-shaped sealing ring (7) between a button cover body and the handpiece head cover body, and provided with a one-way ball valve at the center of the button cover body. Anti-suckback measures are taken at two sides of the handpiece head body (1), and therefore, a suckback material may be controlled to a state of extremely few or almost zero.

Abstract

A single-use device for preventing back siphonage in a high-speed turbine dental handpiece. The device is installed on a side of a handpiece head (1) provided with a burr (3). The device comprises an elastic spindle sealing cover (17) and an inelastic spindle sealing cover (15). After successively connecting the device, the elastic spindle sealing cover (17) will press against a conical braking surface of a turbine spindle (9) once the dental handpiece is switched off, achieving rapid braking and preventing back siphonage. A metal ring (18) is provided in the center of the elastic spindle sealing cover (17) to prevent a curved deformation of the elastic spindle sealing cover (17) caused by air pressure-induced swelling, thereby avoiding loss of rotation speed and output power. The inelastic spindle sealing cover (15) can prevent excessive air pressure-induced swelling and resulting loss of elasticity of the elastic spindle sealing cover (17). The device has low cost and is able to stop back siphonage, extend a service life of the elastic spindle sealing cover (17), and effectively prevent cross infection.
