Abstract

In known devices having means for the disinfection of pneumatic tube carriers, with a housing (6) that has a port (15) for a conveyor tube (1), the problem is that the retainer for the pneumatic tube carrier partially covers the latter, such that the pneumatic tube carrier is not disinfected at these places. According to the invention, it is proposed that holding rods (5), e.g. six thereof, are provided in the interior of the housing (6), their inner faces being a generatrix of a frustoconical jacket whose axis lies coaxially with respect to the conveyor tube (1) and which tapers away from the port (15) for the conveyor tube (1). The circumscribed circle of the inner face of the holding rods (5) at the side facing towards the port (15) for the conveyor tube (1) is greater than the diameter of the conveyor tube (1), and its circumscribed circle at the side facing away from this port (15) is smaller than the diameter of the conveyor tube (1). Furthermore, a sliding sleeve (10) is provided in the interior of the housing (6), which sliding sleeve (10) is able to slide telescopically over an extension (7) of the conveyor tube (1) or is able to slide into said extension (7) and can slide in the opposite direction into the frustoconical jacket.

Abstract

A pneumatic-tube container having a container cylinder and having a cover and a base, at least the cover can be moved from a closed position into an open position. The container cylinder contains an insert, which has at least one tubular channel extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the container cylinder. At least one channel contains at least one clamping element, which projects laterally into the channel. The damping element can be moved out of the channel, wherein the movement out of the channel and into the same is coupled to the movement of the cover from the closed position into the open position and from the open position into the closed position, respectively. When the cover is open, and preferably also when the base is open, the sample tubes therefore fall out due to gravity when the pneumatic-tube container is held with the opening in the downward direction.

Abstract

A pneumatic delivery capsule usable in a pneumatic delivery tube has a tubular side wall extending along and centered on a longitudinal axis, respective capsule heads fixed to respective axially opposite ends of the tubular side wall and dimensioned to slide with the tubular side wall inside the pneumatic delivery tube, and two axially spaced roller bearings each having an outer race fixed to the tubular side wall and an inner race. An insert is fixed to and extends longitudinally between the inner races for receiving an object to be transported. This insert is rotatable on the bearings in the tubular side wall about the longitudinal axis of the tubular side wall with a center of gravity of the insert together with the object to be transported being radially outward of the longitudinal axis.

Abstract

A pneumatic post sleeve (10) has an insert (21) for receiving a test rod (20). In order that the test rod (20) always arrives in the same orientation and position - regardless of any rotation of the pneumatic post sleeve (10) - the insert (21) is rotatable in the pneumatic post sleeve (10) about the longitudinal axis (17) of the sleeve tube (11), wherein the centre of gravity of the insert (21) together with the test rod (20) is located outside the longitudinal axis (17). As a result of its weight, the test rod (20) always takes up the lowest position. In order to improve precision, it is expedient for the insert (21) to be provided with a magnet (30) or with a magnetizable material close to the sleeve tube (11). The pneumatic post station (41) then has a horizontal reception tube (42), on the outside of which a permanent magnet or electromagnet (31) is provided, which is located opposite the magnet (30) in the case of a received pneumatic post sleeve (10). The two magnets try to get as close together as possible and as a result position the insert (21) even more precisely than would be possible by gravity alone. It is also possible for a plurality of magnet/magnetizable material and permanent magnet/electromagnet pairs to be provided.

Abstract

In the case of a pneumatic-tube container (10, 110) having a container cylinder (11, 111) and having a cover (12, 112) and a base (13, 113), at least the cover (12, 112) can be moved from a closed position into an open position. For the purpose of accommodating sample tubes (20), the container cylinder (11, 111) contains an insert (21, 121), which has at least one tubular channel (23, 123) extending parallel to the longitudinal axis (19) of the container cylinder (11, 111). At least one channel (23, 123) contains at least one clamping element (24, 124), which projects laterally into the channel (23, 123). According to the invention, the clamping element (24, 124) can be moved out of the channel (23, 123), wherein said movement out of the channel (23, 123) and into the same is coupled to the movement of the cover (12, 112) from the closed position into the open position and from the open position into the closed position, respectively. When the cover (12, 112) is open, and preferably also when the base (13, 113) is open, the sample tubes (20) therefore fall out under the action of gravitational force when the pneumatic-tube container (10, 110) is held with the opening in the downward direction.

Abstract

The invention relates to a sleeve (1) for a pneumatic dispatch system comprising a sleeve tube (2), which is closed by means of at least one lid that is formed by a plurality of lid sectors (3). The sleeve (1) can be closed and opened by means of a sliding ring (6), wherein the sliding ring (6) can be moved parallel to the longitudinal axis (9) of the sleeve (1). Each lid sector (3) consists of two sub-regions, specifically a first sub-region (4) and a second sub-region (5), wherein in the closed position the first sub-regions (4) close the sleeve tube (2). The second sub-regions (5) are integrally moulded with the first sub-regions (4) and surround the sleeve tube (2) in an end portion. Adjoining each second sub-region (5) is at least one flat spiral spring (8), which is fixed in a sliding ring (6) that surrounds the sleeve tube (2). A clamping ring (7) engages about the second sub-regions (5) of the lid sectors (3) in the closed position and thus holds the lid sectors (3) closed.

Abstract

The invention relates to a cartridge (1) for a pneumatic mail system, comprising a cartridge tube (2) which is closed by at least one lid that is formed by a plurality of lid sectors (3). The cartridge (1) can be opened and closed by means of a slide ring (6). The slide ring (6) can be moved parallel to the longitudinal axis (9) of the cartridge (1) and surrounds the cartridge tube (2). Each lid sector (3) consists of two sub-regions, namely a first sub-region (4) and a second sub-region (5), said first sub-regions (4) terminating the cartridge tube (2) in the closed position. The second sub-regions (5) are molded onto the first sub-regions (4) and surround the cartridge tube (2) in an end portion. The second sub-regions are fixed to the slide ring (6) in a pivotal manner. A clamping ring (7) interacts with the second sub-regions (5) of the lid sectors (3) in a form-fitting manner in the closed position and thus keeps the lid sectors (3) closed.

Abstract

The invention relates to a pneumatic dispatch system comprising a sleeve (1), a sleeve tube (7) being closed by means of at least one lid (3), which comprises several lid sectors (4). Each lid sector (4) can be swiveled about a separate swivel pin (5) which is tangential to the longitudinal axis (18) of the sleeve. An operating ring (19), which surrounds the sleeve tube (7) and in which the swivel pins (5) are mounted, comprises an annular groove (6). Said groove (6) is arranged normal to the longitudinal axis (18) of the sleeve and is further removed from the sleeve end than the swivel pins (5) of the lid sectors (4). The pneumatic dispatch station comprises a holding mechanism (11) having a holding element (14) which has a U-shaped or arcuate edge part (15) on one side. If the sleeve (1) reaches the station opening (16) of the pneumatic dispatch station, the holding element (14) of the operating ring (19) engages in the annular groove (6) in a form-closed manner and holds the sleeve (1).
