Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for increasing the extraction yield of functional ingredients of hops for producing beverages. The novel method comprises the follow steps, among others: a) mixing hops and/or a hops product with an extracting agent, b) metering the mixture produced according to step (a) into a mash, a wort, a young beer, a beer, and/or another finished or semi-finished beverage, c) homogenizing the mixture of hops and/or the hops product and the extracting agent. The present invention further relates to a device for performing the method, to a mixture suitable for said method, and to a beverage produced using said method.
