Abstract

The present disclosure relates to novel compositions for use in producing textile fibers by spinning from an aqueous suspension of micro fibrillated cellulose directly into fibers. The compositions comprise, in addition to microfibrillated cellulose, one or more elastomeric proteins that function to improve the clastic properties of the fibers produced.
