Abstract

A plow blade system is adapted for mounting to a vehicle. The system includes a central blade having two transversally opposite ends and a mount for mounting the blade to the vehicle in a configuration where the central blade is orientable transversally to a longitudinal orientation of movement of the vehicle. The system further includes a lateral blade. The system further includes a hinge pivotally coupling a lateral edge of the lateral blade to one of the opposite ends of the central blade about a pivot axis. The hinge has an upper hinge element and a lower hinge element. The upper hinge element is interspaced from the lower hinge element. The lower hinge element has a multi-axis rotary joint.

Abstract

A mobile harvesting system is towable longitudinally by a vehicle along a field. The mobile harvesting system includes a trailer frame having wheels and a tongue configured for coupling to the vehicle. A harvesting frame is elongated and pivotally mounted to the trailer frame for pivoting between a longitudinal orientation and a transversal orientation. The harvesting frame has a plurality of sleigh attachments distributed along its length. A plurality of harvester sleighs are each coupled to a corresponding one of the sleigh attachments at a corresponding transversal position relative to the trailer frame. Each harvester sleigh has a first runner transversally spaced apart from a second runner, the first runner and the second runner both being longitudinally oriented and structurally interconnected by a sleigh frame.

A plow blade securable to a vehicle, has: a central section having: a central panel, and a member secured to the central panel via a transversal rib, the member defining at least one channel; two lateral sections having: lateral panels having lateral and medial edges, the lateral panels defining slots, and beams secured to the lateral panels and protruding from the medial edges, the beams slidably received within the at least one channel; and at least one actuator operatively connected to the central section and the two lateral sections, wherein the two lateral sections are movable relative to the central section between a collapsed configuration and an extended configuration, the two lateral sections being overlapped by the central section in the collapsed configuration and being offset from the central section in the extended configuration, in the collapsed configuration, portions of the transversal rib are received within the slots.
