Abstract

The invention relates to a geothermal plant with a cascaded steam generator for industrial plants, comprising: (a) a geothermal source configured such that it provides a brine with a temperature in the range of 120 to 300°C, (b) at least two heat exchangers (2, 3, 4), each of which can be flowed through on its primary side by the brine and the primary side of the respective heat exchangers (2, 3, 4) is arranged cascaded in relation to its adjacent heat exchanger (2, 3, 4), wherein the respective heat exchanger (2, 3, 4) has a secondary side which is configured such that either fed water (c1, c2, c3) evaporates owing to the transfer of heat from the primary side to the secondary side, or circulating water is heated in a secondary circuit and as a result an evaporator (15, 16, 15 17) arranged in the secondary circuit evaporates fed water (c1, c2, c3), (c) a first pipeline, which fluidically connects the removal site (a) of the geothermal source to the cascaded primary sides of the heat exchangers (2, 3, 4), (d) each of the heat exchangers (2, 3, 4) present has a respective downstream mineral removal unit (12, 13, 14), (e) a first brine pump (1), which is arranged between the removal site (a) and the primary side of the first heat exchanger (2) in the main flow direction, as a result of which the brine is conveyed from the source to the respective cascaded primary sides of the heat exchangers (2, 3, 4) and their respective downstream mineral removal unit (12, 13, 14), and (f) an outflow pipeline, which is fluidically connected to the mineral removal unit (14) that is arranged last in the main flow direction, wherein the outflow pipeline emerges into the geothermal source such that the outlet of the outflow pipeline (b) is at a distance of at least 100 m, preferably at least 1500 m and particularly preferably at least 2500 m from the removal site (a). The invention further relates to a method of operating a geothermal plant according to the invention. Fig. 1

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing C2-C4 olefins from dimethyl ether and optionally methanol, having the steps of: A) providing a dimethyl ether-containing flow A; B) mixing at least one part of the flow A with at least one hydrocarbon return flow R, which contains C2-C6 hydrocarbons, and with a water vapor flow G2, a feed flow B being obtained; C) heating the feed flow B to a temperature ranging from 430 to 500° C in one or more heat exchangers and feeding same to an olefin fixed-bed reactor, wherein the heating process can also be carried out before individual sub-flows are mixed in order to form the feed flow B in step B); D) catalytically converting the feed flow B at a tempera- ture ranging from 430 to 520° C in order to form a product gas flow D, which contains C2-C4 olefins, additional C2-C6 hydrocarbons, methanol, and water vapor; E) cooling the product gas flow D to a temperature ranging from 170 to 220° C in one or more heat ex- changers by exchanging heat with the feed gas flow B; F) further cooling the product gas flow D to a temperature ranging from 35 to 65° C by bringing the product gas flow into contact with at least one water-containing quenching circuit flow K, wherein water and methanol are condensed out of the product gas flow, and a hydrocarbon product gas flow F which is depleted of water and methanol is obtained; G) separating at least one sub- flow G1 of the at least one water-containing quenching circuit flow K and heating and evaporating the sub-flow G1 in one or more heat exchangers by exchanging heat with medium-pressure water vapor or heating and evaporating the sub-flow G1 by means of an electric heating process, a water vapor flow G2 being obtained, and feeding the water vapor flow G2 to step B); and H) separating one or more C2-C4 olefin-containing product flows P and obtaining at least one hydrocarbon return flow R, which contains C2-C6 hy- drocarbons, from the hydrocarbon product gas flow F and returning same to step B).

Abstract

The present invention relates to an alcohol conversion process wherein a homogenous transition metal catalyst is used. In the process, an alcohol can be converted in the presence of water with increased productivities. Since water does not have to be removed, the process is less energy intensive, saving costs and allowing for an overall more positive carbon dioxide footprint as compared to processes known up to date.

Abstract

The present invention discloses a method for preparing battery-grade graphite by using mixed waste of positive and negative electrode materials of a failed lithium-ion battery as a raw material, the method comprising: placing mixed waste of positive and negative electrode materials of a failed lithium-ion battery in a muffle furnace, and performing low-temperature roasting surface modification, which removes adhesive and residual electrolyte from the surfaces of the electrode materials, to obtain a powder; placing the powder in a flotation machine, adding clean water and stirring the slurry, improving a subsequent flotation separation effect of positive and negative electrode materials; on the basis of a difference in hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties of the positive and negative electrode materials, separating the positive electrode material from negative electrode graphite by means of flotation to obtain a foam product (a body rich in negative electrode graphite) and an ore slurry product (a body rich in positive electrode material); and after the foam product has undergone weak acid washing and been filtered and dried, performing repair at a high temperature to obtain a graphite product which has excellent electrochemical properties. By means of performing low-temperature roasting surface modification, flotation separation, weak acid washing and high-temperature graphitization repair on mixed waste of positive and negative electrode materials of a failed lithium-ion battery, the present invention recycles negative electrode graphite in the mixed waste of positive and negative electrode materials.
