Abstract

Provided are door systems having a plurality of door panels and a frame, the door panels being movable between an extended position closing an opening in a building structure, and a folded retracted position. When in the extended position, the door panels interlock with each other forming a barrier to wind, dirt, dust and insects. The frame is movably attached to the building structure and when the door panels are in the extended position, the frame moves and engages the door panels with a sealing member to provide an airtight seal of the opening in the building structure.

Abstract

Provided are door systems having a plurality of door panels and a frame, the door panels being movable horizontally between an extended position closing an opening in a building structure, and a folded retracted position opening the opening in the building structure.

Abstract

A magneto-cryogenic valve (100), comprising:a connector (150) for connecting the magneto-cryogenic valve to a conduit through which a fluid flows; a heat transfer system (130); a first injector device (110) for injecting magnetically susceptible particles into the fluid; a valve chamber; and a magnetic field generating device (140), wherein:the valve chamber is connectable in fluid communication with the conduit so that the fluid of the conduit flows through the valve chamber; the magnetic field generating device produces a magnetic field comprising field lines and at least a portion of the field lines penetrate through the fluid in the valve chamber and interact with the injected magnetically susceptible particles; and the heat transfer system removes thermal energy from the valve chamber and the fluid therein.

Abstract

Provided are cryogenic injection compositions, methods and systems to introduce a cryogenic injection composition into a fluid within a conduit such that at least a portion of the temperature of the fluid is reduced to a temperature below which at least a portion of the fluid becomes a solid thereby reversibly plugging the conduit. Also provided are methods and systems for cooling or freezing a conduit and a fluid therein using a pressurized fluid cryogen as a thermal transfer fluid for controlled removal of thermal energy from a thermal conducting metal conduit and a fluid contained therein.

Abstract

Provided are methods, devices and systems for controlled removal of thermal energy from a fluid within a thermally conducting metal conduit. The system allows for the in situ formation of a reversible plug that can stop the flow of fluid through the conduit, particularly without inducing thermally induced stress fractures or breaches in the conduit. The devices and systems include a thermal transfer device that can be adapted to be in thermal communication with a thermal conducting metal conduit containing a fluid, particularly a flowing fluid. The devices and systems allows for controlled re-heating of the conduit without inducing thermally induced stress fractures or breaches in the conduit to restore fluid flow through the conduit.
