Abstract

The invention relates to an optical method for measuring dose absorbed by a radiochromic material (151). The method comprises successively submitting the radiochromic material to a first electromagnetic measurement emission at a first wavelength and to a second electromagnetic measurement emission at a second wavelength, and measuring first and second measurement signals corresponding to the parts of the first and second electromagnetic measurement emissions not absorbed by the radiochromic material (151), respectively. In this method, the measured absorbed-dose value is determined, in the case where the first or second measurement signal corresponds to an absorption higher than a given threshold, on the basis of the second signal and, in the contrary case, on the basis of the first signal. The invention furthermore relates to a optical device (100) for measuring absorbed dose.

Abstract

The invention relates to a foam-generating device that is easily transportable, free of fluid or power supply constraints, and capable of providing a foam such as a viscous foam having high, time-invariant expansion (low liquid fraction). The gas is collected under pressure from a cylinder (2), and a fixed fraction of its flow is used to drive a pneumatic pump (5) which draws in the foaming liquid. The foam is formed in a mixer (6) containing freely moving solids shortly before the ejection end (7) of the apparatus. The mixer (6) has high-mobility beads in a much larger cage and is suitable for producing the high-expansion foam. The invention can be used for the decontamination and depollution of large areas, buildings or indoor or outdoor structures.

Abstract

The invention relates to a composition (1) for manufacturing an electrode (2), the composition comprising an electrically conductive compound made from carbon, at least one species suitable for forming a catalyst, and cellulose microfibrils encapsulating chitosan. The cellulose microfibrils create a fibrous mesh binding the composition while limiting the coating of the catalyst. The catalyst therefore remains accessible to the surrounding environment, in order to allow redox reactions at the electrode. The electrochemical performances of the electrode are thus improved. The composition (1) is moreover particularly suitable for the shaping (40) of electrodes by 3D printing.

Abstract

The electromagnetic shielding of the inductor comprises a main field-concentrating shielding (12) composed of vertical columns (13), and the columns are composed of ferromagnetic blocks (14) separated by non-magnetic gaps (15) which contribute to increasing the magnetic reluctance in order to strongly reduce the heat losses. The main shielding is supplemented by an outer conductive casing (1) which confines the residual field that has escaped from the main shielding. The shielding is compact, the mass of ferromagnetic material to be used is modest, autonomous cooling of the main shielding is unnecessary and the electromagnetic coupling between the casing and the main shielding reduces or even eliminates the effects on the electrical characteristics of the equipment.

Abstract

Electrolysis or co-electrolysis reactor (SOEC) or fuel cell (SOFC) with electrochemical cell stack using pre-assembled modules; associated implementation process. The invention essentially consists in an electrochemical device that is formed by stacking pre-assembled modules, each of these modules being acknowledged as an electrochemical cell stack. The fabrication of pre-assembled modules makes it possible to complete electrochemical devices with a large number of electrochemical cells, without the current bridging effect problems and the overly important compression courses that one encounters in the cell stacks according to the state of the art (i.e. In a single block).

Abstract

A device for separating a core (2) and a sheath (3) of a cable (1), comprising an appliance (4) delivering the cable (1) along a cable supply axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the cable. Two blades (5) cut the sheath (3) in order to form two sheath portions (5) that are mechanically separated from each other. Each blade (5) cuts the sheath (3) over the entire thickness thereof along a radial cutting zone in relation to the central axis of the cable (1). Two blockers (6) extend the blades (5) along the cable supply axis (1) and hold the core along the cable supply axis (1). At least one ramp (7) extends from each blade (5) in a second direction perpendicular to the radial cutting zone and to the cable supply axis. The ramp (7) has an external face moving away from the cable supply axis in the first direction during a movement in the cable supply direction in order to separate the core (2) and sheath portions (3).
