Abstract

An electrical coupler comprising a housing with an end opening, an insulation block arranged in the end opening, a lid having an open position and a closed position, an arm attached to the lid and to the housing, whereby attachment of the arm to the housing allows a rotation of the arm relative to the housing around a rotational axis, and optionally a series of arms connected to each other to allow one arm to rotate relative to a neighbouring arm. The lid further comprises a housing contact surface that contacts or is in close proximity to a lid contact surface of the housing, a reference line through the point of the lid contact surface furthest away from the base plane, and wherein a part of the housing contact surface crosses a reference plane closer to the base plane than the reference line is, as the lid is moved from the closed to the open position.

Abstract

An assembly has a bearing bracket and a coupler or connection rod. The bearing bracket has an adapter to which the rod can be connected. A joint allows the adapter to swivel relative to the bracket, and the rod is attached to the adapter. The rod has a surface that extends in a plane at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the rod. The rod surface is held spaced apart from a surface of the bearing bracket by an elastic element. The surface of the rod contacts the surface of the bearing bracket, if a pushing force of a predetermined strength is applied to the rod. A group of parts of the bearing bracket are connected to the bracket such that the parts are set free to move relative to the bracket, if a pushing force of a predetermined strength is applied to the rod.

Abstract

A mechanical coupling, particularly in a draftgear in rail vehicles, includes a central plate (5) turnably mounted in a coupler head and having a link (7) pivoted in the same, and including a hooking mechanism for detachable hooking up of the central plate and the link in the non coupled position of the coupling, and a releasing device (10) for the automatic detachment of the hooking mechanism upon coupling. The hooking mechanism includes a hooking rod (12) pivotally connected with the central plate, which rod, by a lug (16), clutches a collar (11) arranged in the coupler head and, upon activation of the releasing device, detaches from the collar. A leaf spring (13) is arranged in the coupler head in order to, in abutment against the hooking rod, force the same, under the bias from the spring, to be pressed against the collar in the hooked up and disengaged positions.

Abstract

The invention relates to a mechanism operative for opening and closure of a front hatch which is retractable into the body of a railway vehicle, whereby in a closed position a coupler which is supported from the vehicle's chassis is covered behind the front hatch and which coupler upon opening of the front hatch is uncovered in order to admit coupling to a connecting railway vehicle, said front hatch comprising at least two separable sections (15, 16; 115, 116) that are pivotally supported on a cantilever beam (2; 102) which extends freely from the vehicle's chassis. In a separated mode, the hatch sections are retractable inside the body in a linear motion which is guided along the cantilever beam (2; 102).
