Abstract

An isolation mount assembly includes a rubber isolator formed to be seated within an aperture in a supported member, with an extension located on an exterior surface of the isolator; and includes a washer containing an aperture corresponding with a location of the extension. The isolator may include a through-hole and an inner sleeve, and be seated within a supported member. A method for temporarily securing a washer to a rubber isolator includes aligning an aperture in the washer to a corresponding securing feature on the isolator, inserting the securing feature through the aperture, pulling a detached end of the securing feature, pushing the washer towards the isolator until it makes contact with the surface of the isolator, and releasing the detached end of the securing feature. An exemplary method may include trimming or deforming an excess part of the extension after releasing the detached end.

Abstract

A dynamic damper for dampening vibrations of a vehicle includes a cylindrical mass member with circumferentially arranged protrusions, a coaxial collar member including an annular ridge on an outer surface having a larger diameter than a body of the collar member, and a coaxial elastic member disposed between the cylindrical mass member and the collar member. The protrusions of the mass member can extend over an outer surface of the annular ridge of the collar member.

Abstract

A suspension bushing includes an inner cylinder, an intermediate plate, an outer cylinder and an elastic member. An axis of the inner cylinder is arranged vertically and the inner cylinder is provided with an expanded portion in an axially central region. The expanded portion is enclosed by a curved surface section formed in an axially central region of the intermediate plate. An axially outward expanded end section is provided on either side of the curved surface section. An inside annular recess and an outside annular recess are provided on an axially outward end of the elastic member. When the twist is inputted, the outer cylinder and the intermediate plate are changed relative to the inner cylinder. However, due to the provision of the expanded end section, a twist angle is increased so that the intermediate plate is hard to interfere with an end portion of the inner cylinder.

Abstract

A suspension bushing is comprised of an inner cylinder 22, an intermediate plate 26, an outer cylinder 24 and an elastic member 28 for elastically connecting these components. An axis C of the inner cylinder 22 is arranged vertically in an up and down direction (a Z direction). The inner cylinder 22 is provided with an expanded portion 30 in an axially central region. The expanded portion 30 is enclosed by a curved surface section 40 formed in an axially central region of the intermediate plate 26. An axially outward expanded end section 44 is provided on either side of the curved surface section 40 of the intermediate plate 26 via a most approaching portion 42.
