A bobbin winder device of a sewing machine includes a motor (1), which is controlled by a motor controller (21), in order to drive a spindle (7), to which a thread bobbin (9) can be attached in order to wind on sewing thread. A brake device (3) with a brake pad (11), which brakes the bobbin arrangement when the winding radius of the wound sewing thread is greater than a predetermined reference value (C0), is arranged next to the spindle (7). The motor controller (21) monitors at least one measured variable, which is dependent on the load on the motor (1), in the driving circuit of the motor (1). If this measured variable or the rate of change thereof changes such that it falls below or exceeds an associated stored comparison value, the motor controller (21) causes the motor (1) to be shut down.
A presser foot (1) for a sewing machine, having a shank (4) for fastening the presser foot (1) to a sewing machine, a needle opening (5) through which the sewing machine needle is able to be guided during sewing, and a presser foot sole (6) having an elongate depression (7) in the presser foot sole (6). The elongate depression (7) forms a guide wall which during sewing is configured to guide a filler material (8) to be sewn into the fabric (2) in the transport direction laterally beside the needle opening (5) and past the needle opening (5), and press said filler material against the fabric to be sewn, wherein the spatial extent of the elongate depression (7) is variably adjustable.
D05B 3/10 - Sewing apparatus or machines with mechanism for lateral movement of the needle or the work or both for making ornamental pattern seams, for sewing buttonholes, for reinforcing openings, or for fastening articles, e.g. buttons, by sewing for making piped openings
An embroidery system including an embroidery frame assembly having an inner first frame (51) and an outer second frame (53), a portion of a planar formation to be processed being able to be clamped therebetween. The first frame (51) is connected by a bridge (61) to a radially outer secondary connector (57), and a connecting portion (63) of this bridge (61) bridges the second frame (53) when the latter is connected to the first frame (51). When combined with an embroidery module connected to a free arm sewing machine, the embroidery frame assembly enables in a simple manner the embroidering of pouch-type and tubular planar formations.

Method and device for punching a planar object using a sewing machine
b) is embodied as a lid of a clippings container (9). The planar object (23) to be processed is displaced via the tambour frame in a punching plane L2, with this punching plane L2 being arranged parallel above the sewing plane L1.
For the continuous drive of a hook of a sewing machine, two drive cams (17) alternately engage in the back of the hook. During the passing of the upper thread loop, the respective drive cam (17) on which the thread would get hung up is out of engagement. The hook is situated in a conical hook race guide and is held therein by magnets.
c) connected with each other in a fixed manner and layered over top of each other, formed of sheet metal, as well as spring and thread tightening plates (31 and 41) arranged above and below the thread catchers, which move back and forth against a blade (29), and a thread wiper unit. The device is exclusively operated by a drive moving back and forth and driving the thread cutting and lead-in stitching unit (5).
The activation for a path and time related motion of a thread cutting and lead-in stitching unit (7) and the thread brake (25) occurs by a cam drive driven by the primary shaft (9) and a cam drum (75) arranged on the upper shaft (17). This way, an absolute synchronization of the elements of the thread cutting and lead-in stitching unit (7), the thread brake (25), and the hook as well as the needle is ensured.
A locking mechanism for a bobbin case (5) is provided with a locking lever (35) supported pivotally in the bobbin cover (27). The locking lever is pivotal on a shaft (33). A hook-shaped end (51) is formed at the locking lever (35), which latches in the sleeve (9) in the hook and can hold the bobbin case (3) in the hook (1).
A punching device (1) is fastened at the pressure shaft of a sewing machine, vertically displaceable via a carrier (3). The vertical position of the press pad (35) at the body (33) can be adjusted by an adjustment screw (16) to the thickness of the textiles/work pieces to be processed.

An embroidery hoop (1) for a sewing machine or embroidery machine having two hoop parts, namely the lower hoop part (3) and the upper hoop part (5). The two hoop parts (3, 5) are connected to each other by a hinge that can be released without the use of tools. The embroidery material is clamped between the inner hinge element (9) on the lower hoop part (3) and the outer hinge element (15) on the upper hoop part (5). Through this measure, an embroidery material can be embroidered at any position.
A placement device (3) for placing decorative elements (5) on a textile or non-textile sheet material is connected to a sewing machine. The decorative elements (5) are stored in an ordered way in magazines (7) and are fed in a controlled way by the control of the sewing machine to the appropriate set positions on the sheet material (39) and are connected to this material.
A holding device (3) for a tool, e.g., a textile marker (5), for the processing of a textile or non-textile sheet material (44) is attached to the presser foot bar (23) of a sewing machine (1). The tool is supported by a tool holder (15) so that it can move on a base part (19) of the holding device (3) and can be changed in its position or activation through movements of the needle bar (9) of the sewing machine (1).
A device for cutting textile and non-textile sheet materials with a sewing machine having a turning device (9) that can be mounted on the lower end of the needle bar (5). A cutting needle (23) is inserted from below into the turning device (9) instead of a sewing needle and can be brought into the desired cutting position, for example, by a fin (17) that projects from the turning device (9).
A tensioning device (11) is arranged on an embroidery hoop (1), which allows the tensioning of the outer frame (3) with a turning knob (33). For protection from damage, a ratchet (37) is inserted in the turning knob (33) and for simple opening after the end of the embroidery process, a free wheel (45) is inserted.
A method and a sewing machine are provided to form sewing patterns allowing the stitching width to be changed during sewing for a flexible adjustment of parameters of the sewing pattern. In particular the stitch length a can be changed without changing the exterior design of the sewing pattern.
A monitoring device (15) for monitoring the needle thread (9) on a sewing machine (1) is provided which includes a regulator spring (25) with at least one cam switch (39) being connected thereto in a rotational manner. In case of changing thread tension and/or thread consumption the cam switch (39) and/or the detection zones (41) embodied thereat passes through a sensor (45) with two sensor areas (a, b). Here, not only the presence and absence of the cam switch (39) can be detected but also a direction of motion and the speed of motion. From these measurements conclusions can be drawn on various parameters of the needle thread (9).
A method and the device for displaying sewing processes to allow simulation of the formation of stitch patterns and embroidery patterns in sewing machines (1) and embroidery machines or in sewing simulators close to reality is provided. In the representation on the monitor (3) features, such as colors and the structure of the sewing material (2), are considered. By activating a simulation mode, the drive for the stitch formation unit can be disabled.
