Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to locks, and more particularly to locks opened with a key. Many conventional locks are designed to be opened with a key specifically configured for the locking device within the lock. Users often have a very difficult time locating which key is the proper key for a particular lock. Systems have been developed to help the user match keys with locks. For example, users can put colored rings or bumpers on a key for a lock to distinguish that key from other keys.

Abstract
The present disclosure describes combination discus locks and methods for using and making the combination discus lock assembly. The locks include a lock body at least partially containing a locking mechanism coupled to a plurality of engagement members with indicia disposed thereon, capable of displaying a combination. An actuator is coupled to the locking mechanism and to a locking member. The locking member is in a closed position, connected to the body, when the combination is not displayed and in an open position, at least partially disengaged from the lock body, when the combination is displayed. The actuator is manipulated to move the locking member from the closed position to the open position. The lock may also be resettable.

Abstract
The present disclosure describes tumbler-style combination locks and methods for marking tumbler-style combination locks. The locks include a locking member movable between locked and unlocked configurations with respect to a lock body and a plurality of tumblers individually rotatable with respect to the body. A textual unlocking combination for moving the locking member to the unlocked configuration includes a word spelled by an alignment of letters on the plurality of tumblers. A plurality of letter strings is equal in number to the plurality of tumblers and individual tumblers include an individual letter string that has an individual distribution of consonants and vowels.

Abstract
The present disclosure describes tumbler-style combination locks and methods for marking tumbler-style combination locks. The locks include a locking member movable between locked and unlocked configurations with respect to a lock body, a plurality of tumblers individually rotatable with respect to the body and coaxially positioned along an axis, and a plurality of strings of letters corresponding in number to the plurality of tumblers. The letters are randomly selected from an alphabet and positioned on an individual tumbler in a string around the axis.

Abstract
A word-based combination locking device comprising a body, a locking mechanism and a plurality of wheels. The wheels rotate relative to the body and locking mechanism and display a plurality of letters across the device. The wheels and the letters are configured to simultaneously spell two or more words across the device.
