Abstract

A rotary tool ejection technology utilizing air to eject contents from the dies of a rotary cylinder. The dies include orifices positioned therein. The orifices are assembled with porous material. The orifices are capable of receiving air from an internal chamber and delivering it to the outer surface of a rotary cylinder. Air is supplied to the internal chamber by an internal shaft. The internal shaft contains a channel in fluid communication with outlets extending radially outward from the channel to locations on the outer surface of the shaft. The shaft is optionally assembled with a manifold having a conduit. The conduit is positioned for intermittent alignment with the orifices in the rotary cylinder as the rotary cylinder rotates relative to the manifold.

Abstract

We disclose a mold for forming a food product is disclosed. The mold includes a pocket that is capable of receiving an insert. The pocket is circumscribed by a lip. The pocket includes an interference interference structure that interacts with a peripheral wall of an insert. An insert may be a block, a block assembled with a cap, or a block assembled with an electronic device. The insert includes or is adapted to include a mold cavity for receiving and forming the food product. We also disclose a method for installing a food product mold into a mold tool. An insert is inserted into a pocket arranged on a surface of a tool and a compression fit retains the insert in the pocket. After cooling the insert, the insert is installed in the pocket. As the insert warms, it expands to fill the pocket creating a compression fit.

Abstract

A rotary tool ejection technology utilizing manifolded air to eject contents from the cavities of a rotary cylinder. The cavities include orifices. The orifices are aligned with a channel positioned within the rotary cylinder such that fluid (including air and gas) in the channel exits the orifices. The orifices are assembled with porous inserts. Air entering the channel is ejected from the orifices, creating force acting on the contents of the cavity thereby causing ejection.

Abstract

A rotary die ejection technology is disclosed. A cylindrical die roll has a rotary cylinder having internal air and regulation channels. The outer surface of the rotary cylinder includes mold cavity or cutter cavity. The cavity may be in the form of a socket capable of receiving inserts, including plugs and tool inserts. The plugs and tool inserts may be partially or entirely constructed from a porous material. The mold cavity or cutter cavity is in fluid communication with the internal air channel.

Abstract

A molding tool ejection technology utilizing manifolded air to eject food stuff from a cavity of a mold plate. The cavities include orifices. The orifices are aligned with the channel such that air and gas in the channel exits the orifices. The orifices are assembled with porous inserts. The porous inserts have an exterior surface that have a contour that is continuous with the surface of the cavity floor, including any design etching existing thereon. Air entering the channel is ejected from the orifices, creating force acting on the contents of the cavity thereby causing ejection. The air ejection technology may be coupled with mechanical ejection technology.
