Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing hardened steel components, wherein a steel sheet blank made of a hardenable steel, which is provided with a metal anti-corrosion layer, in particular with a zinc-based metal anti-corrosion layer, is first cold-formed, and the resultant cold-preformed preliminary part is then fully or partially austenitised by being heated and is subsequently inserted into a press-hardening tool, wherein the insertion temperature is at least 500 °C, in particular above 600 °C, and is cooled in the press-hardening tool by contact with the press-hardening tool at a speed above the critical hardening speed and is thus quench-hardened and formed into the finished component, wherein the metal anti-corrosion layer has a layer thickness of 7 µm to 20 µm per side, wherein, based on the total surface area of the finished component, cold-finished regions make up 85-99% of the surface area and hot-finished regions make up 1-15% of the surface area.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a hardened sheet steel component, wherein sheet steel sheet bars are cut from a coil made of a hardenable steel alloy or steel strip, formed into sheet steel component blanks in a cold forming process, and the blanks are heated in a continuous furnace to a temperature above the austenitization temperature required for the hardening and pressed and quench hardened in a form hardening tool. The blanks have point-shaped or linear beads, raised bumps, or flanges whose free ends or partial lengths are bent relative to the contact element so that the blanks rest on the contact element using only the point-shaped or linear beads, raised bumps, or free ends or partial lengths of the flanges. During form hardening, the beads, bumps or bends are pressed or deformed into the desired geometry of the finished component.

Abstract

A multi-water-channel hot stamping die includes an upper die base and insert, a lower die base insert. The upper and lower die bases are provided with a water channel, which is provided with die cavities, in which water through openings are arranged and in communication. A caliber of water through openings is smaller than die cavities, introducing turbulence into the cooling medium in the water channels and the die cavities thus improving cooling efficiency. Die cavities are arranged in the main water channel in a non-single straight line, water retaining blocks are placed at water through openings of the die cavities. A plurality of cooling zones is formed A plurality of inserts is correspondingly arranged in cooling zones, so that the of inserts are cooled simultaneously. Targeted control over cooling water flow of the main water channel is effected by supplying certain inserts with water.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing hardened steel components, wherein a sheet metal blank is cut out from a galvanized or alloy-galvanized strip made of a hardenable steel alloy and the sheet metal blank is then cold-formed to produce a component blank and then at least partly heated to a temperature which causes a microstructural change to austenite, wherein the at least partly austenitized component blank is then fed to a press hardening tool in which the component blank is interlockingly held by means of an upper and lower die which have a shape that corresponds substantially to the component blank, wherein, due to the contact of the component blank material with the dies, which are in particular cooled, the heat is extracted from the steel material so quickly that martensitic hardening occurs due to the cooling at a cooling rate above the critical cooling rate. The galvanized or alloy-galvanized strip is provided with a coil lubrication and sheet metal blanks cut from the steel strip are at least partly provided with an additional lubrication prior to cold forming, the additional lubrication being carried out using a drawing lubricant in an amount of 0.1 g/m² to 2 g/m².

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a hardened steel component, wherein steel sheet blanks are cut from a coil made of steel alloy or steel strip that can be hardened, and the steel sheet blanks are then shaped into a steel sheet component preform in a cold working process, and then the preforms are heated in a continuous furnace to a temperature that is above the austenitizing temperature and needed for hardening and then are pressed in a press hardening tool and thus are quench-hardened, wherein the preform is formed with punctiform or linear beading or embossing, or flanges contacting the contact element are bent at their free end or along partial lengths of same toward the contact element so as to make contact at the edge or a partial length of the edge and then, during the press hardening, the beading or outward bends or bends on or of the flange serving as the contact surface are pressed or worked into the target geometry of the finished component.

Abstract

A multi-water-channel hot stamping die, comprising an upper die base (1), an upper die insert (9), a lower die base (2) and a lower die insert (11), wherein the upper die base (1) and the lower die base (2) are both provided with a main water channel, the main water channel is provided with a plurality of cavities (17), water-through openings (14) are provided between the cavities (17) for communication, the diameter of the water-through opening (14) is much smaller than the size of the cavity (17), which is beneficial to changing a cooling medium in the main water channel and the cavities (17) in a stable state into a turbulent state, and thus improves the cooling efficiency. Moreover, the plurality of cavities (17) are not arranged in a single straight line in the main water channel, water-stopping blocks are placed in some of the water-through openings (14) in the cavities (17) to form a plurality of cooling areas, and a plurality of inserts are correspondingly arranged on the plurality of cooling areas, which can not only achieve simultaneous cooling of the plurality of inserts, but can also perform water cooling on only one insert, such that targeted control of a cooling water flow in the main water channel is realized, thus reducing unnecessary cooling cycles, precisely controlling the uniform cooling of the main water channel and various parts of the insert, achieving sufficiently uniform cooling of hot stamped parts, and solving the problems of the hot stamped parts having unstable mechanical properties and large deformations.

Abstract

A method for manufacturing a semifinished product or component is disclosed in which a metal support embodied as a split strip is covered with at least one prepreg containing a thermally cross-linkable thermosetting matrix with endless fibers, the thermosetting matrix of the prepreg is pre-cross-linked by means of heating, and the metal support covered with the pre-cross-linked prepreg is formed into a semifinished product or component by means of roll forming. In order to enable plastic deformation in fiber-reinforced regions of the metal support, it is proposed that during the pre-cross-linking of the thermosetting matrix of the prepreg, its matrix is transferred into a viscosity state that is higher than its minimum viscosity and prior to reaching its gel point, the prepreg is formed together with the metal support.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing locally hardened steel sheet components. Steel sheet components are guided through a heating furnace, and the heating furnace is divided into two furnace regions (7, 8) which are arranged one behind the other in a conveyor direction (3). The metal blank is heated to a temperature below Ac1 at least in a first furnace region (7). Regions which are not to be hardened are heated less, and in a second furnace region (8) the metal blank is irradiated and/or heated by means of electrically driven heat emitters and/or burners in regions which are to undergo an additional heating process. In regions in which a heating process above Ac1 is not desired, individual emitters and/or burners (15) are deactivated or patterns of emitters and/or burners (15) are deactivated, and/or reflector templates are slid between the emitter and/or burner array (11) and the metal blank (1) above regions which are not to be heated so that the metal blank is shielded against an additional input of heat via radiation and remains below the Ac1 temperature in regions which are not to be heated.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method of tempering sheet steel bars and in particular for pre-cooling sheet steel bars, sheet steel being drawn off a steel coil and cut into bars, the sheet steel bars then being heated to a temperature above AC3 of the respective steel material, and the steel material being partially or totally transformed into austenite, and then formed in a press-hardening die in the hot state and simultaneously being cooled at a speed above the critical hardening speed such that a quench-hardened structure is formed. After heating to above AC3 and before forming and quench-hardening, the steel material is tempered and, in particular, pre-cooled until it has a desired temperature for forming. The invention is characterized in that, disposed between at least one die plate exerting the pressure on the bar and the bar itself is a working plate which is used for tempering and is mounted on the die plate in such a way that the working plate can expand and contract with respect to the die plate owing to thermal expansion or shrinkage. The invention also relates to a device for performing the method.
