Abstract

The invention relates to a method for treating hot-rolled coils, wherein, after uncoiling a hot-rolled strip at the end of the hot strip mill and in particular before completion of transformation from austenite into ferrite in the microstructure of the hot-rolled strip, the hot-rolled coil is transferred from an uncoiling apparatus to an apparatus, wherein, in order to correct the shape of the coil, the coil is placed on two spaced-apart correction elements which contact the coil surface below the apex and at a distance from the transverse centre of the coil. The invention also relates to an apparatus for carrying out the method.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for continuous casting of metal, in particular steel, wherein liquid metal is conducted from a movably mounted ladle into a continuous casting tundish by means of a shroud and is conducted from the continuous casting tundish into a casting mould via an outlet, the tundish compensating for the interruptions when the ladles are exchanged and the ladles being mounted in a movement device, characterized in that, at the start of casting, i.e. when the liquid metal is first being poured into the tundish, the ladle is positioned such that the shroud is in the region of a transverse centre of the tundish and, after a desired surface level of the bath has been reached, the ladle or the tundish or the ladle and the tundish are moved, and in particular laterally shifted, such that, to form a single rolling kind of flow of the metal in the tundish, the shroud is offset outside of the transverse centre of the tundish in relation to a side wall, and the invention also relates to a continuous casting plant and to a fitting for the tundish.

Abstract

The invention relates to a measuring system for detecting flatness defects on a rolled metal strip, having a light source which is arranged laterally adjacent to the metal strip and is positioned such that the light source projects a light strip onto one surface of the metal strip. The measuring system additionally has a camera which is arranged laterally adjacent to the metal strip and is positioned such that the light of the light strip reflected by the surface of the metal strip is detected. The light source and the camera face opposite faces of the metal strip.

At least one mold plate is provided with an exit-side full-surface wear-resistant coating, at least in an inner zone extending in the casting direction. The mold plate has an entry-side region which is uncoated or at least partially coated with a coating pattern. A boundary line between the entry-side region and the exit-side full-surface coating extends, at least in parts, obliquely with respect to a transverse direction of the mold, said transverse direction being perpendicular to the casting direction. The boundary line contains a plurality of line flanks rising obliquely in the casting direction and a plurality of line flanks falling obliquely in the direction opposite the casting direction, rising and falling line flanks being arranged in alternation.

Abstract

Method and device for heating the walls (17) of a vacuum furnace (8,9,30), said walls (17) having an electric conductive surface (20), wherein a plasma is generated in a gas at a pressure lower than 1 mbar in the vacuum furnace (8,9,30) between said walls (17) and an anode (18). A voltage bias is generated between the plasma and said surface (20) of the walls (17) by polarising the surface (20) negatively with respect to the anode (18). The temperature of the walls (17), in particular of the conductive surface (20), is regulated by regulating the power transfer of the plasma to the walls (17) by controlling the electrical power supply through said voltage bias.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for assembling a stack of sheet metal parts (2) made of an electrical steel strip or sheet (5) to form a laminated core (3). To prevent leakage, the invention proposes that stacking takes place such that in the stack (22) all sheet metal parts (2) are arranged with a rotational angle offset, in the circumferential direction (U) of the stack (22), to their respective adjacent sheet metal part (2) or adjacent sheet metal parts (2).

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a laminated core (3) and to the laminated core (3), which comprises at least one cooling channel (18) that runs through the layers (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) of the laminated core (3). The aim of the invention is to provide the laminated core (3) with a cooling channel (18) which is media-tight in order to prevent a leak. This is achieved in that on at least two layers (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d), the respective first or second sheet part (2a, 2b) has at least one bead (9), the at least two layers (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) engage into one another by means of said beads (9), and the beads (9) run completely around the respective channel recess (16) of the first or second sheet part (2a, 2b) in question, thereby preventing the longitudinal axis (L) from being enclosed.

Abstract

The invention discloses a laminated core (3), in particular for a stator of an electric machine, and a method for the production thereof. The laminated core (3) has a plurality of layers (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) arranged one above another, wherein the layers are each formed from a single sheet-metal part (2) or a plurality of sheet-metal parts (2a, 2b, 2c) arranged next to one another, and each sheet-metal part (2, 2a, 2b, 2c) has a protrusion (9a, 9b), by way of which protrusions (9a, 9b) the layers (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) engage in one another, and with a centrally located longitudinal axis (L) of the laminated core (3). In order to be able to withstand high hydraulic pressures, caused for example by liquid cooling of the laminated core (3), it is proposed, in the case of the single sheet-metal part (2) forming a layer (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d), for the protrusion (9a, 9b) to be designed to run completely around the longitudinal axis (L) of the laminated core (3) or, in the case of a plurality of sheet-metal parts (2a, 2b, 2c) arranged next to one another and forming a layer (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d), for the protrusions of these sheet-metal parts (2a, 2b, 2c) to be designed to run, together, completely around the longitudinal axis (L) of the laminated core (3).

Abstract

A method for producing hardened steel components is provided. Sheet bars are cut out from an alloy-galvanized strip made of a hardenable steel alloy and the sheet bars are heated to a temperature that produces a structural change to austenite, preferably to a temperature above the respective Ac3 point. The austenitized sheet bars are then conveyed to a press hardening tool in which the sheet bars are hot formed in a single stroke or multiple strokes by means of an upper and lower tool, wherein the formed sheet bar is cooled against the tools at a speed above the critical cooling rate so that a martensitic hardening occurs. After the galvanization, which can be hot-dip galvanization of the steel strip and before the temperature increase for achieving the austenitization, tin is applied to the surface of the strip or sheet bar.

Abstract

A method for producing hardened steel components is provided. A sheet bar is cut from a galvanized strip made of a hardenable steel alloy. The sheet bar is cold-formed into a component blank and heated to a temperature that produces a structural change to austenite. The austenitized component blank is conveyed to a form hardening tool and is held in a form-fitting manner by an upper tool and lower tool, which have a shape essentially corresponding to that of the component blank. Due to the contact of the material of the component blank with the tools, the heat is removed from the steel material quickly enough that a martensitic hardening occurs. After the galvanization of the metal strip and before the temperature increase for achieving the austenitization, tin is applied to the surface of the strip, sheet blank, or component blank.
