Abstract

The invention relates to a protective casing (1) with self-adjusting height, for protecting monitoring sensors (3) for monitoring wear elements (6), said casing having a structural design and materials that significantly hinder heat flow from the GET (6) to the monitoring sensor (3). In turn, the already reduced heat flow that can reach the sensor is immediately transferred/diverted to the fastening element (7) of the GET (6). This allows for effective and efficient thermal insulation, mainly due to the temperature of the fastening element (7) with respect to the GET (6), when the latter is in operation. The temperature of the fastening element (7) is generally tens of degrees Celsius or even more than one hundred degrees Celsius below the temperature of the GET (6), and it never equals or exceeds the temperature of the GET during the operation of same.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a magnetometric device that measures the magnetic properties of a sample and whose most notable characteristic lies in that it is portable and highly precise, and can be used for the detection of a magnetic signal from nanostructures exposed to a fixed external magnetic field of excitation, of a unique value, it not being possible to alter the external magnetic field. The fixed external field can only be altered by modifying the device by means of exchanging the permanent magnets; however, once the device is sealed, this field does not vary. Different quantities of the same magnetic material may be placed in the sample holder, increasing the measurement signal; the present device can therefore determine the magnetic mass being measured following calibration of the magnetic material employed.

Abstract

The invention relates to a system for communication by means of visible light and to the corresponding method, where a channel for transmitting visible light has abnormal conditions, for example, in tunnels of an underground mine with a high degree of dust concentration in the atmosphere and also in rural and urban tunnels in which the fumes generated by an accident produce high concentrations of powdery material in the transmission channel. This problem is solved by using in the system a transceiver for transmitting visible light, a means for receiving visible light, and a Deep Neural Network (DNN), with a specific arrangement, proximity or distance, of ceiling-mounted transceivers formed by LEDs lamps (arrangement of the plurality of LEDs) and Digital Single Lens Reflex (D-SLR) transceivers (formed by reflex cameras in which the lens that forms the image also provides the image in the viewfinder). According to the invention, together all the elements forming the system allowing channel noise to be removed, being able to transmit using visible light with diversity, even if the channel appears interrupted to the human eye.

Abstract

The invention relates to a system for communicating by means of visible light and to the corresponding method, wherein a channel for transmitting visible light has abnormal conditions, for example, in tunnels of an underground mine with a high degree of dust concentration in the atmosphere and also in rural and urban tunnels in which the fumes generated by an accident produce high concentrations of powdery material in the transmission channel. This problem is solved by using in the system a transceiver for transmitting visible light, a means for receiving visible light, and a deep neural network (DNN), with a specific arrangement, proximity or distance, of ceiling-mounted transceivers formed by LED lamps (an arrangement of the plurality of LEDs) and digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) transceivers (formed by reflex cameras in which the lens that forms the image also provides the image in the viewfinder). According to the invention, together all of the elements forming the system allow channel noise to be removed, being able to transmit using visible light with diversity, even if the channel appears interrupted to the human eye.

The invention is packed into an iSlide-Add-in for PowerPoint (POWERPOINT) software presentation that, on the one hand, overcomes all interactivity flaws reported by the active audience literature and conference speakers' experience; on the other hand, it overcomes dependency from external elements and removes concerns about security and vulnerability. iSlides is a system because it installs the iSlide-Add-in from the executable software iSlidesInstaller.exe 10, 20. The iSlide-Add-in augments the main ribbon options of PowerPoint (POWERPOINT) software presentation with a new I-SLIDE tab 31. This new option allows the insertion of a variety of iSlides (interactive slides), which highest feature is that text in them all are editable in PowerPoint (POWERPOINT) presentation mode. Additionally all type of text objects are editable, resized and mobile in PowerPoint (POWERPOINT) presentation mode 22 and external forms (images, pictures) are resized and mobile. iSlides is a method since a user of PowerPoint (POWERPOINT) software presentation follows simple steps to insert as many interactive slides into the presentation as the presentation interactive events require. There is a typically PowerPoint (POWERPOINT) set of steps to design the iSlide in PowerPoint (POWERPOINT) design mode and there is new set of steps that the presenter has to follow to edit, resize and move text objects and resize and move external objects in PowerPoint (POWERPOINT) presentation mode.

Abstract

The invention relates to a system and method for the detection and correction of errors, using the traditional Reed-Solomon encoding/decoding algorithms. The system separates the message symbols from the parity symbols and sends them to the communications channel, adjusting them to the time windows defined in the Modbus RTU protocol, thereby allowing the transmission of the information from the Modbus RTU frames along with the parity symbols, maintaining compatibility with said protocol.
