The present invention describes a method for identifying free radicals present in a pathological process suffered by an individual, comprising: (a) determining the absorption spectrum of haemoglobin (Hb) between 500 and 1000 nm in a sample of venous blood isolated from the individual, and (b) comparing the absorption spectrum obtained in step (a) with the absorption spectrum of Hb between 500 and 1000 nm obtained in a sample of venous blood from a control individual. This method is applicable in the diagnosis of pathologies such as endometriosis.

Abstract

A method for obtaining secretomes from platelets and the secretome uses in regenerative medicine, in the treatment of diseases, including cell therapy, and in vitro cell culture. This method is developed with the aim of obtaining platelet-derived bio-products enriched in platelet granular cargo, rich in growth factors, and depleted of other platelet-derived molecules and plasma for universal use. The method avoids the use of platelet inhibitors or temperature-shock during the process, assuring the integrity of the platelet biological source. Furthermore, the potential processing of the product would allow additional clinical applications and solve storage limitations. This method and the characterization thereof of secretomes at the molecular level in health and disease will contribute to the identification of biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis.

The present invention relates to three-dimensional (3D) graphene aerogels which exhibit ultra-low density, large macroporosity and high electrical conductivity values and its process of obtainment. The invention relates to a system and method for antenna diagnosis, which comprises a probe antenna (1) that is moved manually by an operator relative to the antenna being measured (3) describing an arbitrary path (7) that collects the radiated signal (2). It also comprises a radiofrequency unit (4) which measures the properties of said signal, a positioning means (5) for positioning the probe antenna (1), and a processing system which diagnoses the antenna being measured (3). The method comprises defining a reference surface (15), moving the probe antenna (1) close to the antenna being measured (3), homogenising the sampling, processing the information and performing a diagnosis by calculating the tangential component of the field. The invention is useful in industries where antenna diagnosis is required, such as in the communications industry. It is of particular interest in 5G networks.

The invention relates to a method for assessing non-classical cardiovascular risk by means of detection of anti-high-density-lipoprotein autoantibodies, to an immunosensor, and to a kit for the application thereof. Method and system for producing fresh milk with properties that are differentiated on the basis of separation during milking, which are, respectively, a set of methods that comprise measurement of certain parameters of the milk in the pipe where differentiation is to take place, comparison with target values or reference values to be achieved and diversion of the flowing milk towards other pipes that convey same towards different storage points; and the set of units that implement the above method and that comprises measurement sensors in line and/or in the tanks for indicating the values of the target differentiation parameters, units for estimating other parameters, a calculation unit that will give the diversion orders and a set of actuators capable of diverting the milk towards other pipes. This invention applies to milk-production facilities.

Abstract

The invention relates to an in-line sensor and a system for obtaining the fat content of milk, respectively: a hollow device similar to any pipe through which the milk can flow and provided with a light-transparent hole and a plate located at a short distance from, and parallel to said hole, such that milk always occupies all of the section extending from the hole to the plate; and a system capable of producing the corresponding excitation light in near infrared or the visible, below 1000 nm, and of collecting the light reflected by the milk. The fat content can be obtained at all times by applying a quadratic or simple linear calculation and is provided by means of an analog or digital signal. Control actions can also be supplied using digital outputs. The invention is suitable for use in milk production facilities.

The present invention is a method for producing a modular, intelligent switch, which is bi-directional in terms of current and electrical voltage, applying principally to power supplies. Abstract

The invention relates to the quantification of organic compounds originating from a chromatographic system that does not involve the use of patterns, comprising the continuous conversion of the carbon of said compounds into carbon dioxide (CO2), involving a chemical reaction and the mixing of same, before or after separation, with a known constant flow of a carbon compound, preferably CO2, which is enriched with carbon isotope -13 (13C). The mixture is introduced into a mass spectrometer in which the isotopic ratio 12C/13C is continuously measured either in the carbon or in any characteristic ion originating from same. Abstract

The new proposed technique makes it possible to neutralise and dewax oils in a single phase by modifying the mode of implementation of neutralising deodorization or physical refining; it also includes the modification of the deodorising agents used, either continuous, semicontinuous or discontinuous. The method is based on distillation with entrainment of steam or free fatty alcohol vapours present in the oils or produced by cleavage of the waxes contained in the same. In order to facilitate distillation, esterification is prevented and reflux of the components to be distilled is avoided.

Abstract

The invention relates to a micro-organism carrier for use in fluid-bed wastewater treatment plants. The inventive carrier comprises a preferably-hollow cylindrical body (1) with at least one helical flange (2) disposed therearound, which favours the creation of a biofilm and which facilitates the flow of water through and around the carrier in order to promote contact and the decomposition of the contaminant elements by the biofilm.
