Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a branch-cutting saw that can easily and reliably cut thin and thick branches, branches that are difficult to reach with shears, branches in dense clusters, etc. This branch-cutting saw cuts by drawing a saw blade part 11 back and forth while hooking a hook part 22 on a branch and pressing the hook part 22 towards the saw blade part 11. The hook part 22 is configured so as to be pivotally supported on the leading end part of a sheath body 20 and spring-loaded to hold a hook-part regular position Fs in a longitudinal-direction region Rf of the sheath body 20, and is also configured so as to be rotationally displaced from the hook-part regular position Fs when a load greater than or equal to the aforementioned spring force is applied against the spring force. The saw blade part 11 of the saw body 10 is configured so as to be spring-loaded such that the leading end thereof is held in a saw-blade-part regular position Ns at a position retracted beyond the hook part 22, and is also configured such that operation of a grip part of the saw body against the aforementioned spring force advances the saw blade part 11 forward from the saw-blade-part regular position Ns.

Abstract

The present invention address the problem of providing a handsaw with which it is possible to dramatically reduce cutting chip clogging, to reduce the pitch between cutting edges in order to increase the surface area of the cutting surfaces of cutting edges known as "Uwame" (third facets), and to obtain a low cutting resistance and excellent sharpness. The handsaw has a plurality of saw teeth arranged along the lateral edges 21 in the longitudinal direction of a saw body 20, wherein the saw teeth comprise a combination of crosscut teeth X having a triangular prism shape or a trapezoidal prism shape and rip teeth Y having a parallelogram prism shape, and wherein the respective prism teeth constituting the crosscut teeth X and the rip teeth Y are configured such that a rising angle θ, relative to an edge surface 21a, of the lateral edges 21 in the longitudinal direction of the saw body 20 is the same for at least adjacent prism teeth, thereby configuring a gap S between the respective adjacent prism teeth to be constant in the rising direction of the teeth.

Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of proving a handsaw configured so that clogging with chips is dramatically eliminated, the teeth can be densely arranged without widening the pitch of the tooth tips, the top cut surface of each of the teeth, which is called a "top edge", can have a large area, a reduction in the cutting performance caused by the clogging of chips can be sufficiently prevented, and the cutting performance of the handsaw is significantly improved. A handsaw is formed by arranging saw teeth at a longitudinal side edge (21) of the saw blade (20). The saw teeth are formed as prism-shaped teeth (30) which are configured in such a manner that at least adjacent prism-shaped teeth rise at the same angle (θ) from the edge surface (21a) of the longitudinal side edge (21) of the saw blade (20) to cause the gap (S) between the adjacent prism-shaped teeth to be constant in the direction in which the teeth rise.

Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a blade-replaceable saw which enables the saw blade to be replaced without requiring an additional connection fitting or the like, enables the saw blade to be easily inserted and extracted into and from the grip, and does not cause looseness between the saw blade and the grip during the use of the saw. A blade-replaceable saw is provided with a saw blade (10) and a grip (20), the saw blade (10) having provided on the base end side thereof a flat insertion handle section (12) which is to be inserted into the grip (20), the grip (20) being provided with a flat insertion hole (22) for receiving the insertion handle section (12) of the saw blade (10), and this configuration enables the saw blade (10) to be replaced. A protrusion (24) is formed on the inner wall surface (22a) of the flat insertion hole (22) of the grip (20), and the protrusion (24) reduces the area of contact of the saw blade (10) with the flat insertion handle section (12) and reduces the gap between contact surfaces.
