Abstract
Pulmonary treatment methods and systems. During pulmonary treatment breath cycles, a hold period of elevated inspiration pressure may promote lung region filling (and potentially recruitment) via collateral airways. Expectoration is promoted by dropping from the inspiration pressure to an undershoot pressure; de-recruitment (e.g., by airway collapse) is mitigated by raising the undershoot pressure to a positive expiratory pressure (PEP) during expiration phase. Breath cycles with a period of post-PEP suction may also be administered. Respiratory therapy systems may be programmed or re-programmed to administer this pressure protocol. In some embodiments, a system includes a hand-held unit including a patient mouthpiece, a base unit which provides pressurized gas to the mouthpiece, an electronically controllable valve in the hand-held unit for providing therapy maneuvers such as PEP (Positive Expiratory Pressure) through the mouthpiece, and a computing unit which instructs the hand-held unit to perform therapy maneuvers.

Abstract
The present invention enables assisting in manipulation and movement of intraocular particles in order to treat various ocular conditions. It enables controlling intra-ocular particles using acoustic wave forces. The novel technique of the present invention utilizes acoustic radiation forces for non-invasive control over movement of the pathologic intraocular particles, preventing them from unwanted accumulation and obstruction of intraocular structures, or causing visual disturbances. Acoustic forces can be harnessed to non-invasively organize various types of endogenous and exogenous particles within the anterior chamber of the eye, without any sign of tissue damage.

The valve frame includes a valve frame body that is configured to support the prosthetic valve within the native atrio-ventricular valve, and at least one arm that is configured to extend from a ventricular portion of the valve frame. The at least one arm is deployed among chords of the native atrio-ventricular valve. Subsequently, at least a portion of the valve frame is rotated in a direction in which an interior of the arm faces, such as to modify shapes of the native valve leaflets and the ventricular structures, by recruiting and deflecting at least a portion of the chords. The frame body of the valve frame is then radially expanded, such as to hold the native valve leaflets and the ventricular structures at least partially in the modified shapes. Other applications are also described.

Abstract
A method of determining a condition of a subject comprises receiving functional magnetic resonance (MR) data and structural MR data, each describing the brain of the subject. A subject-specific functional connectome (FC) is constructed using the functional MR data, and a subject-specific structural connectome (SC) is constructed using the structural MR data. A convolutional neural network (CNN) is fed with the subject-specific FC and SC. The CNN has a first set of layers that separately process the subject-specific FC and SC, and a second set of layers that process combined outputs from the first set of layers. An output indicative of the condition of the subject is received from the second set of layers of the CNN.

The device includes an expandable frame reversibly expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state and a barrier supported by the expandable frame. In the expanded state the barrier is disposed between the expandable frame and walls of the lumen to inhibit in-growth of cellular material into and onto the occluding component, and additionally the barrier is urged against walls of the tubal lumen to define at least two tube lumen sealing areas, disposed perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the walls of the tube lumen such that (i) the expandable frame is disposed between the two tubal lumen sealing surface, and (ii) passage of reproductive cells through the expandable frame, and through the tube lumen is blocked, therefore, creating a the complete blockage for liquids from a first part of the tube to a second part of the tube, downstream the first part. Other applications are also described.

Abstract
Some embodiments are directed to a system and method monitoring oxygenation in biological tissue, comprising a control unit configured and operable to receive data indicative of light response from a region of the biological tissue being subjected to illumination and/or collection at two separate wavelengths in two selected wavelength ranges and processing the data by comparing data indicative of each selected wavelength range to determine an oxygenated/deoxygenated status of the biological tissue. The two wavelength ranges include a first wavelength range in which the absorbance of the deoxyhemoglobin within the tissue is higher than the oxyhemoglobin, and a second wavelength range in which the absorbance of the oxyhemoglobin within the tissue is higher than the deoxyhemoglobin or vice versa. The two wavelengths in the two wavelength ranges include first and second wavelengths satisfying a predetermined condition of a ratio between the absorbance of the deoxyhemoglobin and oxyhemoglobin for each wavelength.
