The invention relates to a slide-and-swing wing system, comprising - at least one rail profile (1, 2); at least two wings (3), which are each mounted so as to be displaceable in the at least one rail profile (1, 2) via two support elements (4), wherein the at least one rail profile (1, 2) has a lateral outlet opening (13) for unlatching a support element (4) of a wing (3), and wherein one wing (30) functions as a door leaf which, with all of the other wings (3) in the latched state, is pivotable into the remaining opening; and a closure mechanism (6, 7) making it possible to prevent the door leaf (30) from being opened. The closure mechanism (6, 7) comprises a drive, and also an operating part (61, 72), via which the drive can be actuated, wherein the door leaf (30) is displaceable, via the drive, in the rail profile (1, 2) in the direction of the adjacent wing (3) to such an extent that no support element (4) of the door leaf (30) is aligned with the outlet opening (13), thereby preventing a support element (4) from coming out through the lateral outlet opening (13).

An accordion partition has a pair of panels having adjacent vertical inner and outer side edges interconnected by a hinge. Horizontal and generally parallel upper ceiling and lower floor tracks extend above and below the pair of panels, and upper and lower trolley hardware on each of the panels rides in the respective tracks so that the panels can move horizontally relative to one another.
