Abstract

A spring transfer device (50) and a spring transfer method for transferring a spring (30) from a spring coiling machine (200) to a spring transport unit (300), wherein the spring (30) is taken over from the spring coiling machine (200) at a first location and is moved to a second location for transfer to the spring transport unit (300). A pivot mechanism (51-59) is provided for pivoting the spring (30), during the movement from the first location to the second location, from a first orientation, which the spring (30) has at the first location, to a second orientation, which the spring (30) has at the second location and which is substantially perpendicular to the first orientation. Preferably, the pivot mechanism (51-59) is coupled with a rotating mechanism (70-87) that simultaneously rotates the spring (30) about its longitudinal axis.

Abstract

A device for conveying a spring string (31) has a first spring conveyor (3) and a second spring conveyor (4). By means of a sensor device, in operation, lengths of a plurality of segments of the spring string differing from one another are detected, while the spring string (31) is guided past a sensor (5) of the sensor device arranged in the conveying direction upstream of the second spring conveyor (4). A control device (9) is provided which sets, in an operating state of the device (1) in which both the first spring conveyor (3) and the second spring conveyor (4) convey the spring string (31), time-sequentially a plurality of relative conveying speeds between a conveying speed of the second spring conveyor (4) and a conveying speed of the first spring conveyor (3), depending on the detected lengths.

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for conveying a spring serpentine (31) comprising a first spring conveyor (3) and a second spring conveyor (4). During operation, lengths of a plurality of different segments of the spring serpentine are determined using a sensor device, while the spring serpentine (31) is moved past a sensor (5) of the sensor device, which is arranged upstream of the second spring conveyor (4) in the conveyance direction. A control device (9) is provided which, sequentially in time and depending on the determined lengths, sets a plurality of relative conveyance rates between a conveyance rate of the second spring conveyor (4) and a conveyance rate of the first spring conveyor (3), in an operating state of the device (1) in which both the first spring conveyor (3) and the second spring conveyor (4) convey the spring serpentine (31).

Abstract

The device (1) for the assembly of pocket spring strings (3) comprises a rack (15), on which a drum (13) having receptacles (19) for pocket spring strings (3) is rotatably supported. An operator B manually places the pocket spring strings (3) into the receptacles (19) and rotates, or initiates the rotation of, the drum (13) about a predetermined angle, for example 60º. Now, the operator B places a further pocket spring string (3) into the subsequent receptacle (19), and at the same time an adhesive is applied to the advanced pocket spring string (3). Following a further rotational movement of the drum (13), the next pocket spring string (3) is inserted, an adhesive is applied to the previously inserted pocket spring string (3), and at the same time the pocket spring string (3) to which the adhesive was applied and which is now located in front of the assembly device (25) is ejected.
