Abstract

A tread covering film (3) for soles (1) of shoes of polyurethane-based polymer material comprises a support layer (10), which is capable of being connected to the polyurethane-based polymer material of the sole, and an outer layer (11) which is connected to the support layer and which is formed by a polyurethane admixture which is capable of being thermoformed in accordance with a tread pattern of the sole and which comprises a percentage of from 3% to 15% by weight of silica as an opacifying agent.
